Analyst's note: Thought you'd like to know who has arrived at Ft. Carson, Colorado. Russians are now reported to be working with 10th Special Forces Group to learn "...to facilitate humanitarian relief and counterterrorism operations." Would that mission be executed here within the U.S. or in mother Russia?

We remain watchful and hope to learn more about this unlikely operation. Through a related previous posting, we were advised that this contingent of Russian paratroopers will train to interact with the American public in ways (think shoot) which our American military ultimately refuses to do. This training on American soil will start with the RUSSIANS providing policing at local baseball games, participating in traffic stops and are playing war games on American soil with Americans as their intended target.

You can tell by my comments and those of a number of others, that the American people do NOT trust this administration and a growing number of "useful idiots" within our federal government as they move us toward a police state. Where is the truth on this matter ... who knows?


[...] a group of 22 Russian airborne soldiers arrived at Ft. Carson on 12 May and will conduct training until 1 June. They are conducting joint exercises with members of the 10th Special Forces Group, including weapons training and parachute drops.

The training exercise is only the second time Russian military personnel have trained on U.S. soil, the first time being the Peacekeeper 95 exercise at Ft. Riley, Kansas in October 1995 that was part of preparation for peacekeeping operations in the Balkans. It grew out of a military cooperation agreement signed between Russia and the U.S. last year intended to facilitate humanitarian relief and counterterrorism operations.

The exercise is being carefully controlled, however. All training being conducted involves only unclassified weapons, and the Russians have U.S. escorts around the clock to ensure they are only where they are supposed to be. Both on-duty and off-duty time is spent with their Special Forces hosts. Next year U.S. special operators from the 10th Group will travel to Russia for a similar exercise. [....]"

Американские и российские военнослужащие выполнят учебно-боевую задачу по захвату базы международных террористов

В минувшую субботу военная делегация ВДВ вылетела в США для участия в первом в истории двух стран американо-российском антитеррористическом учении, которое пройдет на территории военной базы Форт Карсон (штат Колорадо). Об этом сообщило Управление пресс-службы и информации Минобороны России.

От американской стороны, сообщают военные, в учении примет участие подразделение сил специальных операций сухопутных войск Вооруженных сил США (16 человек), от российской стороны – разведывательное подразделение специального назначения Воздушно-десантных войск из воинской части ВДВ, расквартированной в подмосковной Кубинке (тоже 16 человек) и группа руководства от командования ВДВ. Учения пройдут, как рассказал в интервью «НВО» (№ 7 от 16.03.12) командующий ВДВ Герой России генерал-лейтенант Владимир Шаманов, с 14 мая по 1 июня.

На подготовительном этапе предусмотрено изучение российскими десантниками американского стрелкового оружия, экипировки и снаряжения, средств разведки и связи, парашютных систем и способов десантирования.

Освоение голубыми беретами иностранного вооружения и военной техники будет проходить на военном полигоне базы Форт Карсон.

Затем, после соответствующей подготовки, российские десантники проведут квалификационные и боевые стрельбы из американского стрелкового оружия, пройдут обучение по программам горной подготовки и подрывного дела, совершат учебно-тренировочные парашютные прыжки на армейских парашютных системах американского производства. Активная фаза учения пройдет в конце мая. В ходе совместных разведывательно-диверсионных действий американские и российские военнослужащие выполнят учебно-боевую задачу по обнаружению, захвату и уничтожению крупной базы (лагеря) международных террористов.

At the U.S. military base in Fort Collins, Colorado, U.S. and Russian Paratroopers participate in a anti-terrorism exercise. After the completion of the exercise the U.S. and Russian forces express their satisfaction with the success of the mission.

good old global cooperation. the russians have to learn somewhere and the us has the infrastructure for teaching counterterrorism. it's good to see old enemies working together for a common goal. it's like a police force in the middle of nowhere going to a big city's police training facilities
