Temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s, and when you factor in the humidity, the heat index will feel like the upper 90s to near 100. The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a heat advisory for central Indiana for the entire weekend.
In 1937, the temperature hit 92 degrees during that year's Indianapolis 500. Fans haven't seen hotter weather on race day since, but it appears that streak may end this weekend.
