I found my Ready To Die CD earlier today, and listened to the entire album! Talk about memories...

I was a freshman in high school when the Eastcoast/Westcoast BS was going on and I live in Southern California. It was nuts out here during the Summer of 96 after All Eyez On Me came out leading up to Makaveli and his death. Like walking thru the school parking lot all you heard was parked cars just blasting Hit Em Up and other Pac tracks and this one middle eastern kid named Amir constantly had his discman on him just blasting Pac. Your post made me bring back some old memories ha. The summer of 96 was awesome.

Right on man. Those were the days! I can't even get interested in the "new" rap. Just doesn't gel with my "soul" haha
I find it interesting that pac made that huge diss and gets shot again,. There is mad skepticism around his death., Pac obviously found out he was being USED and went against the grain, essentially carrying the cross.
I'm not a christian but I can recognize that he died for trying to warn people,
