The carrot evolved, just like everything else on the planet
Oh, and regarding the chicken and egg thing, the egg was first because the chicken's ancestors laid eggs waaaaaay before chickens evolved.
The carrot evolved - did you see this happen? Can I use your time machine??
The egg was first? What laid it?? Do tell.
The ancestors of today's chicken laid eggs...so eggs definitely existed before today's chicken.
And I hope you realize there's tons of ways to figure out the past without a time machine

Nice sidestep of my egg question, but not unexpected.
Nope - without a time machine, it's all guesswork, speculation, and extrapolation.

I assume no one "invented" the carrot.
You would be wrong.

Exactly it was God, who made leeks and brocolli and all the rest.
Broccoli was created by humans by selective breeding from the wild mustard plant.
Nearly all the vegetables Westerners eat today are artificial creations, the results of hundreds of years of selective breeding. If you saw the ones 'God gave you', you wouldn't want to eat them.

I'm fully aware I could be (or am definitely wrong) I was just throwing out there the things my mind comes up with at times. I question many things.
Nah, I just think a lot. Maybe too much. I've just never found a forum (or outlet) for expressing my opinions. All of my friends (except one) I wouldn't feel comfortable talking about "odd" things."

Whereas with creation, it's a legitimate field of science, right?
"You didn't see it happen" is not a logical argument. By that logic you can't prove anything that happened before your own life. People can and do study the past constantly. Nobody's saying it's 100% exactly as they say, but it's a very solid methodology of gathering facts and it's the best possible explanation based on the evidence.edit on 8-7-2012 by Barcs because: (no reason given)

But will you not admit that the further back we go, the more cautious we need to be? Surely you know the dangers of extrapolation. Too many things are posted as facts, and science seems to be more speculative than it used to be.
