I fully understand that.
But that still doesn't alter the fact that a different set of values are being applied to the OP as to those applied to the group of Muslims.
The Muslims in question moved to Germany.
Germans drink alcohol and eat non-Halal food.
They freely went into an establishment that sells both.
Why should they then be offended when a non-Muslim purchased said items?

If the OP had gone into an Halal establishment and tried to eat a bacon butty and have a bottle of Becks then I think he would have got off quite
lightly and I'd have no sympathy whatsoever for him, but as it is?
