how much of Obama's Biography "Dreams From My Father" is real and factual?

I am half way done reading Obama's book to try to get in his head and learn what makes him tick. The book has extreme racial overtones.

Every paragraph I read I am left wondering, what part of it is real and what part of it is a fantasy or something "inspired by real life events" but never actually happened to Obama himself. Has anybody read the book and felt something similar?

My friend and ally in conservative politics has told me that he doesn't trust Obama when he speaks. He only sees something that resembles more of a robot. SO why, he asks, would the book be any different?

NOTE: I do not want anybody on here to go around saying oh how bad the establishment is yada yada. Oh bad Obama is yada yada. I want critiques of his book and his book only! Thank you!

sorry haven't had time to read it im reading hacking exposed 6 and guild to operating systems security had a friend who read it and summed it up just like that we pretty much have the same views

I will admit it sounds like you have read some of it because my friend had a hard time thinking some of what he wrote was "true"

That's my opinion not an answer to my question! I want to know if people actually feels the book is real. I would welcome anyone who would want to back up the events in the book with evidence to Obama's baseless claims.

you have to also give credit to him being anti Colonial....non capitalist ,,,sort of communist.....what got him elected was the failing economy and the big give-up of failure of capitalism, in other words, acceptance of socialism or more government.....

IE: well I have worked hard all these years I may as well suck off of the government teat because I am entitled....well then what....now it's a"then what"decision...do I stay on food stamps and reelect Obama or quit food stamps and eat out of trash cans...see its a delima

or do I elect a money grubbing republican who will tax break the rick investors who are the ones that through investment create jobs....

On Topic: Obama believe what he wrote, he has surrounded himself by people that believe the idealism of that book ....not so much is it the ideal of socialism or communism but it is the true Ideology of the ARAB MUSLIM...those two words are never mentioned, are they???? yeah go figure

what is ignored by all of us here in this situation that Obama is the messiah and SCREW CAPITALISM is that all the Democrats in office also own businesses and have wet or brown labor and have shoddy business practices. The Corporate Crimes are Bi-Partisan yeah, think about it

If you can divide and conquer the FICTION from FACT, in his so called BIOGRAPHY then my friend you will have vetted the president. We don't know who this United States President really is. WE ALL KNOW this guy is a MYSTERY and thats why were having so much DRAMA over his history.

I'm giving you a S&F for reading the book!

I think Obama's most honest moments have been off teleprompter. The book is a "means to an end" as far as his political carreer is concerned, so I wouldn't put much value into what it says.

I know exactly what your friend means about Obama's robotic delivery ! I noticed that too during the 08 campaign, and it's been getting more pronounced ever since. It's creepy. I realize that a lot of it is probably his dependence on the teleprompter, but even in supposedly casual talk he seems robotic- his gestures and speech inflections don't fit. I have wondered if he's some sort of mind control experiment.
