He also said there were a few calls for doctors on the flight, but that did not alarm anyone. "We saw lots of police and federal customs people take a woman off the plane in handcuffs," Frankel said. "People were amazed at what was going on. We didn't know what was happening until we landed." The woman was on a 10 day trip with no checked baggage and security has been high since last fall when word of surgically implanted bombs went out.

Wouldn't you want them over reacting if your family was on a flight like that? And who was hurt by this extra caution? No one.

She never said that she had an 'explosive' implanted. She said that she had a surgically implanted DEVICE.

Could have been a pacemaker etc. She might have mentioned it because she was unsure about any risks in flight, but it was also mentioned that she was mentally unstable, though I've heard that argument touted quickly before in these sort of situations.

There you go. It's not unlike my comment that I have trouble reading lately being interpreted as meaning I suffer from illiteracy (as opposed to an eye problem).

Now in this particular case it is about human rights and hysteria taking them away.
