So it's a criminal offense to talk negatively about Obama? Of course it is. This is America. What, you kids think you live in a free country? Tch, please. This is America. Shut your mouth and kneel. How dare you question us.

Listen to this teacher yelling at the kid for talking about Obama and Romney.

This is who's teaching our children these days. These are the kinds of people our children are entrusted to, in order to teach them, build them up, help them learn the facts of the world and build a personal morality, ect.

Oh, sorry... I almost forgot... it's criminal to teach anything realistic in school. How dare that kid think beyond what he sees in the news. How dare he think he can speak freely.

This is America.

Edit: In case the video doesn't work, which happens on ATS sometimes, here's the link; www.youtube.com...

I heard this on the radio this morning. It's pretty pathetic, on the part of the teacher. She's a piece of garbage, in my opinion. Your link didn't work, so here's one that does.

Wow, there is sure a lot of sensitive people around now a days to say that was "yelling". Is this really that big of a deal??

Sometimes trying to "find" a fault in something which doesn't really seem to be here in this case is almost as bad as the act itself. She seemed a bit excited but I dont think she went over the line.

This is one person lol, not to represent the whole of teachers... Why blow it out of proportion? If it's a public school, and the teacher shows bias, toss him/her out of the classroom. In my high school days, teachers would never promote one, over another, or display bias in regards to any stance... which they would even repeat every once in a while. Which was not all that long ago...

If you asked... 'do you agree with Bush's decision?' to a teacher, the response would always be... 'that doesn't matter, what do you think, and why....', this could also be, due to the fact that my HS was and is top in state, and top 400 in country, and doesn't pick too many chumps for teachers.

clearly ignorance is abolishing freedom of speech. not by our government but by stupid citizens of our country. and we wonder why each country goes down hill. Jesus! If people would wake up and use our rights to ensure that this crap doesn't happen. thankfully these kids video taped it.

That's a sad stupid teacher that needs to be fired. She is not promoting independent thinking nor analysis, but rather directly, indoctrination, literally, "If I want your opinion, I will give you one." The teacher is actually doing exactly the same thing she espouses Romney was doing in her "Fact of the Day", bullying.

Cheers - Dave

Wow, she sounds like she's still living in the hood. Can't believe she's a teacher, with that, "NA UH NA UH" How annoying.

Back in my day if you cussed in the classroom you can kiss your arse goodbye.

The kid wasn't showing much respect either.

The question is whether this is Tyranny and I would say NO. You all are being a little dramatic here. Schools arent supposed to be about Free Speech anyway, its for these dumb teachers to teach and dumb students to learn. Thats it.

The Teacher is wrong getting into a "argument" but this is pretty trivial.
