Are you a hot weather person or a cold weather person?

Wow! Thanks for all the responses. I guess one man's hot, blazing, baking and infernal heat is another man's misery, and vice versa. It's interesting how we are all different.

Does anyone here love a nice cool pillow to rest their head on when going to sleep? That's one of my enjoyments in life. But it doesn't stay cool for long so much pillow flipping action occurs before I fall asleep.

I want to invent a pillow and call it the "Chillow" that always stays a perfect cool , lovely temp to rest our weary heads.

i prefer the cold as it's easier to warm up than it is to cool down.

but unfortunately i work in a building where 95% of the workforce are bloody wimmin.
wimmin that wear little skirts and wafer thin blouses.

and guess what?

THEYRE ALWAYS FRICKING COLD!

NO SHIZZLE SHERLOCK!

So as the bosses are wimmin, the heating is ramped up full to 80 + degrees. Thats great when youre doing a job when youre sat at a desk all day, but when you do anything physical, like walk, you break out into a massive sweat.

TURN THE FRICKIN HEATING OFF AND WEAR A BLOODY CARDIGAN OR SOMETHING!

Perhaps invent a way to put an ice pack in the pillow without everything getting wet lol.

Personally i'm a cold lover, i'd much rather go north than south, as others have said, there is something about cold air that just makes you feel alive and i enjoy life more in the cold.

I usually like hot days for doing activities but when i'm sleeping i prefer cold climate, i could never sleep on a hot bed.

I also like a cool breeze, i just don't want to see piles and piles of snow everywhere... too bad i'm in Canada! can escape those winters.. although it sees to be declining for the past few winters.

I know so many people that come alive in the heat. The hotter the better.
Me? I can't even think straight in the heat.
Sometimes I'll put just the fan of the a/c on, and when I need to put the a/c back on I see that the temp on it is 73 Degrees F. That's as much as I can take of the heat. Give me 68 degrees or less!

Even when it's really cold in my bedroom, I can still wake up feeling like I'm about to spontaneously combust.

Cold....bitter cold actually! I love being outdoors in frigid temps. Teens for the high and singles for the low or cloder! I ice fish 75 to 80 days a year and I can tell you that I seldom get sick when its super cold out. I breath better and if the weather stabilizes and it stays dry and cold, my joints feel better than when it roller coasters. Sometimes I crack a beer, put on my Trans-Alaskan suit and Baffin's and sit in a lawn chair with a foot of snow at my feet and stare at the stars in sub zero temps! Ahh.....bring on Jack Frost's revenge!

I too am a cold weather person. Can't stand the heat.

I've lived in both extremes, from Kodiak, Alaska to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and I'll pick the cold every time.

As you said, you can always bundle up, but if you get down to naked, and you're still hot...well, as far as you can go (and it sucks when even the water is warm)...

Of course, like you, I live in a hot area, Florida. Oh well, job is here, friends are here, home is here, family is here, so not leaving, so I just have to put up with it (and crank up the AC)...

COLD

I live in the wrong state for my preference, I love it hot. The hotter the better. I even have a heater under my desk, for when they crank the AC here at work, along with several sweaters.
I also married a cold lover that works outside all day. I think that is the biggest fight we have, summer time and the central air at home.

I like my weather to be mild, 60F, cool enough to wear a jacket, but not enough to freeze brass monkey parts.

I don't do well in extremes of hot or cold. Even though I have worked in both from 120F flight deck off the coast of Africa to working in snow and ice in the North West US.

HA! In the dead of winter I get to work an hour early, sit outside and read. Of course, I'm dressed for it and I can control how much heat escapes by simply zipping or unzipping my winter jacket. I can't do this inside the factory. When the heat is on I am positively miserable.

Cold. I can tolerate -30 much easier than +30. And then the humidity. Oh man, just kill me.

ETA: That's the Centigrade scale. -30 equals -15. +30 = damn near 90F.

DESERT RAT!!! Ive lived in AZ for about 14 years now and was originally from Southern CA. I love the heat! Hottest Ive been in was 120 back in the summer of 98. I was still out hiking and riding quads.

For me its just the sheer joy of being in the desert. Its so beautiful out here with endless things to see outdoor wise. Almost every weekend I go exploring. Everything from abandoned gold,silver, copper mines to indian ruins and cliff dwellings.

I like 17 degrees C on a sunny day with a bit of a light wind. Guess that's more on the cooler side of things. I'm used to snow.

It is very hard to sleep if there's a lot of heat and humidity. I perfer -30 than above 30. My hands and feet always get cold though. Very nice feeling in treating sunburns. :p

She adores the cold. So much, the house temp is kept so low i wear a light coat at night in the summer, just to stay warm.
Everyone has the "comfort zone", and it's easily divided amongst those familiar with the temp. She works in offices and at peoples homes. So 72 should be the norm to her...maybe even 68, or whatever.
I've baked in a sun long enough to where I had to enjoy it, elsewise, I wouldn't be much in my field.

Oh no, that makes perfect sense. If I lived with someone who had to have the house at least 78-80 degrees at night, ( I can bear it during the day) they'd have to sleep in the other room and we'd have to have to have some kind of set up where we could manage the temp in each room individually. I always put the A/C down to 65 at night and I am very comfortable. 70 is just too warm.

I don't know where I get this from. The only thing I can think of is growing up in hot, humid Delaware and my parents hardly ever ran the A/C. Instead windows open and mosquitoes finding their way in to irritate me at night.

I can understand that! Temperature is serious business!

At my job many people love the heat. I guess many grew up in TX and just are used to it. I'll never get used to it. I wither. And it's true, it's the humidity! I can take it much better if it's dry heat. Humidity just saps me. The days you walk outside and just stand there, doing nothing and in minutes you're coated with a layer of sweat. UGH

Yea, the desert and the American Southwest are pretty spectacular scenery wise. And it's that dry heat. I could deal with that.

So I guess I've decided I'm 99% a cold weather, more comfortable being cool person. But 1% of me does not mind to much that dry heat even if it's 110. But only for a little bit.

Me too! Miserable is the right word.

I'm surprised how many people are voting the cold, it's usually just me

Can't stand hot weather, it don't feel good and puts me in a bad mood! people think I make it up with how hot I get but I don't at all, I must have thick blood or something ( I have no idea if that is even possible ) ... thankfully I live in England so don't have so much to complain about I guess? but anything over 20c and I can barely move and feel very uncomfortable!

I think I have S.A.D too! i'm miserable in spring/summer but really perk up in autumn/winter!

I'd love to live in a colder climate!
