Ademar José Gevaerd (born 1952) is a Brazilian ufologist, or specialist in the study of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). He is editor of UFO Magazine, Founder and Director of the Brazilian Center for Flying Saucer Research (CBPDV) and Brazilian Director for Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). He represents Brazil at the Center for UFO Studies. He has appeared on the Globo Network, the Discovery Channel and the History Channel.[1] He has spoken in many cities in Brazil and in other 29 countries, and has conducted over 700 field investigations of UFO cases in Brazil.[2] He has been described as one of the most respected of ufologists

This guy is still trying to get more UFO records released from the Brazilian government. He's kinda unsung outside Brazil

In the U.S. - Raymond Fowler (retired from Ufo and abduction investigation). From APRO to MUFON he consistently, methodically investigated ufo reports and then abduction reports - mostly in the New England area. His books about his investigations (and later his own life) are excellent.

Internationally - the late Cynthia Hind , from Zimbabwe. She was first on the scene investigating the Ariel School multiple witness close encounter (before John Mack swooped in and stole the attention).

Internationally - Bill Chalker, from Australia. He utilized dna testing on the 'alien' hair in the Peter Khoury case, yielding fascinating results.

Good call mate, his interview with Colonel Ariel Sanchez from the Uruguayan Air Force is a fascinating read, especially when they discuss the Colares case.

Can't believe I forgot NICAP's Francis Ridge, this man has been around the UFO scene for a very long time and (IMHO) has a very good handle on U.S. Government shenanigans when it comes to the UFO subject - Brad Sparks and Jan Aldrich have also conducted some amazingly good research.

Almost from the beginning of the Air Force UFO investigations, patterns were starting to emerge, and the cover-up was already in place..

In a 1952 LOOK article, Ruppelt mentions a file of 63 cases of UFOs over nuclear installations, but such a file is not in currently declassified Blue Book files.
