At least 41 killed in Bagdad attack

There has been a series of explosions in Iraq this morning,
Iraqi insurgents detonated three bombs near a US convoy
More explosions have been heard�. Black hawk helicopter has also come to the scene

Police said the first blast was probably caused by a car bomb and the subsequent bombs were timed to go off shortly afterwards as US troops tried to help those hit in the first explosion.

Meanwhile, a suicide car bomb exploded outside a police station in the Abu Ghraib area west of Baghdad.

The United States military said that one US soldier and two Iraqi policemen were killed in the attack, while 13 people were injured.

Hospital officials said at least 60 people were injured in the blast.

Seems like this is happening all the time.
Only difference is that now the news are leaking out.

As usual they become victims of the war...

Islam througout the middle east cares not a jot for the lives of children - in "Palestine" they willingly sacrifice children for their "jihad". In Iraq and Afganistan and Chechnia Muslims see children as evil and kill them all the time.

The stablization forces prove themselves to be absolutely ineffective

All I ever see in the papers are the "innocent" Iraqis holding onto their dead children. Why is it that these people don't stand up to all the extremists? If these killers make up a very tiny percentage of the people, why is nothing being done to stop this by Iraqis themselves? You would think these people are tired of all this and would just gang up and help the US clear these people out. We just don't hear of this though

Insurgents detonated three car bombs near a U.S. military convoy in Baghdad Thursday, killing 41 people, 34 of them children who were rushing to collect sweets from American troops.

Attacks on American troops have risen to around 80 a day from 40 a month ago.

You know, if we go back in time about 35-40 years to when other little kids would want hersheys bars, and a woman would walk up and detonate herself. A little conflict known as Vietnam. Increase troops...more unstability...greater death count...have we not been down this road. I support our solidiers and hope they can rotate home soon to see family.

I wonder how things are doing on other parts of the country, we get news from baghdad because most of the media is located there so anything that happends is going to be out for them to see.
