The ones that are elected have the most money provided by their corporate/government sponsors and approved by the bought out media. They are not the centrists, they are the fringe designed to divide us into camps that oppose each other. That distraction of the masses serves them quite well.

Again look at what they do, not what they say. You know these dire enemies have lunch together and shake hands, all while you are busy with your party mandated and sanctioned distractions, right?

And here we are on ATS, fighting over some issues and starring the same people over different issues.

The winner is the one with the most votes (okay, electoral college, but stay with me).

Paul appeals to some but not most. It'll be between Romney and Obama to whom can appeal the most.

Logic, sometimes it's a pain.

Here is where you have no proof. The crowds coming out for Paul do not support your conclusion. The actual delegates do not support your conclusion. There are polls that do and do not support your conclusion. So in the end it is just your conjecture combined with what the media is telling you that lead you to believe as you do. Once the truth comes out and the people realize that the "Paul is not electable" mantra is a lie, all bets are off. The wheel is turning.

If I'm wrong, I'll apologise. If Paul gets the nod, I'll support him.

But only because he agrees with me on issues more than Obama.

Too true.

If we allow politicians to do our thinkng for us then where does it stop?

Some are already trying to tell us;
Where to live
What to eat
What to wear
Where to work
How to work
When to work
What to spend
How to spend

You forget that the right-wing has a purpose (christian-right wing more-so). Their purpose is to provide a counterpoint for the left-wing (who are also co-opted by corporate interests. In the grand-scheme of things, they are there only to justify the position of the left. The political process is broken as far as I'm concerned. If you want any change in your political process, you are going to have to do alot more than just post on some conspiracy site.

The Republicans are playing the game you accuse Obama of playing except they are using less obvious methods and arguments. Also, yes, people will fall for it the same way they fall for the same lame political tricks every election year.

Watching this mess gets more annoying every election. I'm tired of seeing the exact same political tricks every time and I'm tired of seeing people up in arms against each other over small or misleading issues while both sides ignore the bigger picture.

Sean Hannity was trying to bring balance to the issues and bring up Obama bullying a little girl when he was in prep school. Except for the fact that ALL of the political pundits, besides HIM has been saying that Romney should run on Facts. Hannity himself believes that Romney's platform should be asking the American people, "if they were better off than they were four years ago."

Karl Rove and a few other pundits believe that the right should not swoop down to team Obama levels and stick with the facts. Obama has no facts. He has no budget. And he has all these make believe stories, blacklists, propaganda etc...

So who's right? Should The republicans play the Obama game? Will Obama's scare tactics work on a dumbed down public who is in love with drama? Remember despite all these things Obama keeps doing to try to scare the public, Romney is still beating him according to a recent poll

You cry the dems are the king of disinfo but you use FOX as a reference. When you actually learn what disinfo then cry about it. Because as usual FOX is blowing smoke up your butt and you just choose to believe it.

I read what you had to say and shook my head in sadness, some really believe and belief is an entrapment. Won't say more, the first three replies did a fine job and if you find others to discuss this nonsense with they are also trapped in the very things they are supposed to be set up by those whom manipulate, one side or another.

"Terrorism is the best political weapon for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden death.
What luck for the rulers that men do not think."
Adolf Hitler

Next time it would help if you said the whole quote. But then again who screamed terrorism louder than the right?

It amazes me that people still take political sides when both parties do the same political maneuvering to gain votes. You really have to be gullible to think that republicans don't twist and turn facts. Did you ever see a democrat or republican politician answer a question with a simple yes or no? If they know the issue can make them lose votes, they will dance around the subject and never really answer the question. They play both sides.

The political spin doctors are just that. They're hired to spin answers to questions asked by reporters in such a way that will favor their party candidate. That alone should tell you that neither party is honest or answers questions based upon facts.

Until voters start reading between the lines and stop taking political sides, maybe than will we be able to force candidates to speak honestly and talk about issues based upon facts. The problem is, the parties divide issues as if they were simply black and white. Their party platform controls candidates from crossing over and accepting either some or part of liberal or conservative views.

Political issues are not as simple as candidates make them out to be.

The left, right thing is real when it comes to the little stuff. Abortion, green energy, etc. but when it comes to the big stuff they are equally to blame. Neither party will really address debt, entitlement or military adventurism. So who cares about obamacare or gay marriage when we are enslaved financial... Focus on the real issues not what Fox tells you to care about.

Let's see if I can name a few conservative lies:
Iraq has WMDs
Deficits don't matter
Cheap oil will pay for the war
Tax cuts will pay for the wars
Obama was born in Kenya
Obama is a Muslim
Obama is going to take away your guns
Obama is a socialist
Obama is a secret Muslim
Obama hates white people
Obama's birth certificate is fake
Obama is having a war on Easter/Christmas/Eucharist/Lent/Every xtian holiday
The 'horse and sparrows' economic theory works
Gay marriage leads to people marrying animals
British Petroleum gives two shillings about American energy independence
Corporations are people
'Job Creators' create jobs
Women are chattel
...
I'm tired of typing. But, if the right wants to run on truth, they're going to have to learn what it is first.

I don't want to say I have any particular feelings one way or the other but the Grand Old Party is the one making use of "opposite words" like "peacekeeper" and misleading information such as telling people that potato chips and coffee are really only potatoes and beans. They are in sales.

I don't really feel any of this being pressed on me. I still have those freedoms. I know they are trying to make laws for kids to pull up their pants but I think those things are local ordinances more than anything so I don't really feel oppressed or funneled into anything except...

... it has gotten so that medical procedures from the simple treating of a cold
to more complicated surgeries like bunions and lasik are astronomical
and people are forced to suffer illness or bite the bullet and go to work for a large corporation.

Creativity will wither because people who do not subscribe to a corporate logo will eventually die of illness.
Enterprise, entrepreneurship and ingenuity will become obsolete.
You will have to blend to live because realistically people cannot be expected to live without health care and call it "life." Life with lesions and disease is not life. The medical field is even getting rid of the general practitioner. It is pretty effective conspiracy but only if they can keep health care away from people. If they are successful EVERYONE will be effectively given no choice but be an employee of the few largest corporations around. The largest are swallowing up the smaller companies as it is. People will not have an affordable option on their own. Making it impossible - guaranteeing it.
This is where we are headed. When it gets so your employer is that powerful, that necessary to your life and well being - you will be at the mercy of a corporate dictatorship. The 40 hr work week will be considered part time. You will have quotas and they will take the health insurance back. You will be sorry you made the government so small it could no longer protect you from your boss. You will be a slave again soon. It is where we are going - where we are letting it go.

Yet another reason I sleep better not leaving children to the merciless cut throats running this world into the ground.

A poll, yes, a poll showed that Romney was ahead yesterday
of course, that same poll today shows he lost 4 points, and according to [url=http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/general_election_romney_vs_obama-1171.html[RealClearPolitics[/url] Romney is behind a solid 2 points (the overall score is very, very hard to move even a fraction of a point..and he is losing ground again)

Obama's scare tactics are simple...he suggests if he doesn't win, Mitt Romney will.
and yes, that is scary.
So, your right about the Obama scare tactic strategy..sometimes when the sky is truely falling, its appropriate to point it out and tell people to get a helmet on.

Now, to the greater point of the thread
Should the right wing run a campaign on facts?
Well, that would be a first...give it a shot, you tried everything else...sometimes people enjoy honesty, even if its I am going to eat your face off style honesty.

Hannity bringing balance. heh. funny stuff.
