What HAVE I been thinking?

The right is our true saviors after all, and now I feel so humbled and embarrassed. Here I thought that American politics was an utter horrifying lie that a 5-year-old could see through. And now I find out that our own beloved right-wing nuts are instead our best hope for the survival of our nation.

We are unworthy....

On a real note though, they both answer to the same boss so it doesn't make much f a difference. But if you actually think that anyone on fox news is anything other than a GOP disinformation shill, then you drank the cool aid

Your topic is about the Left being the "Kings Of Disinfo", and you think the "right" should run on facts, which means right now you think that the Right also runs on disinfo right?

That would be your logic.

But it's false, because neither run on facts, they haven't in a very long time. If you want to discuss why one is better than the other, then you will be told that neither is, because it's an illusion.

~Tenth

with all due respect, TENTH,
1... it's not an illusion that the republican governor of michigan, has assigned a one-man government dictator to each of multiple cities in that state, and banned any local ELECTED officials from making decisions.
2...it's not an illusion that republicans want government to force birth on every pregnant woman, regardless of harm or death to that woman
3...it's not an illusion that republican governors want to ban unions and end collective bargaining which lowers the standard of living for the middle-class.
4....it's not an illusion that the republicans have given a disproportionate share of tax breaks to the top 1%
5....it's not an illusion that the republicans want to end social security
6....it's not an illusion that the republicans want to privatize the post office
7....it's not an illusion that the republicans want to stop subsidizing student loans for higher education

wrong... mostly, democrats vote laws in that help the middle class....mostly, republicans vote laws in that help the wealthy class...this isn't rocket science, you simply look at congressional voting records.
disinformation happens when people are too lazy to check for themselves, so they rely on other peoples opinion.

1st, you say all of these provocative, false, or misleading things about Obama...then when one comes back at you, you say stick to the subject? example:
1...he has a bully machine
2...he has no facts
3...he has no budget
4...he has make believe stories
5...he has blacklists
6...he uses propaganda
7...he uses scare tactics
8. he's scaring the public
and yet, after your above diatribe, you want LIBERALS to talk in a civil manner?...really?

Thank you for actually wanting to debate the topic. So what do you call all of Obama's propaganda then? I do not represent the entire GOP. But, if you consider these terms not civil. Why do back up obama's lies?

see! right there!
the people who you would call the GOP or the right use propaganda and lies, too. so how can you follow either side's lies?
just because you don't call the GOP's propaganda what it is doesn't make it different.
it's like the "lefties" who were opposed to iraq and afghanistan but supported libya. they put a different spin and a different face on the same tactics and keep us fighting while atrocities and mass theft are carried out in our names.
they use our votes to legitimize mass murder and resource rape.

If you think that the "other side" doesn't want teh same thing, than the illusion is successfull.

All of these "non issues" are what they use to confuse you into thinking that one side is working against the other, or that once side actually cares about you.

They don't.

They care about their handlers and the people who pay the bills. Since America is owned part and parcel by the Rotchild Banking Cartel, you can imagine who has more influence in the decision making process..

I'm sorry, but attempting to equate left vs right to anything but equal, is a logical fallicy.

MISinformation is when people rely on others' opinions and misinformed second had accounts. DISinformation is when we are deliberately lied to. which both sides are guilty of.

i DO NOT believe liberals that lie, i actually spend some time doing research...the problem with foreign intervention has alot more to do with forces beyond the scope of simple liberal vs. conservative idioms that are associated with the challanges we have at home
i am not in favor of using our military to sustain our dependance on foreign oil, and yet i do not see the republicans working with democrats to create a "marshall plan" in america for alternative energy. both sides need to combat the addiction to political contributions, and yet, no legislation is supported by the majority of republicans and democrats to end the political prostitution of their offices.
question?...why are the ideas of senator bernie sanders of vermont, not taken as seriously as those of the congressional majority leader eric cantor? one simply needs to do research on each of their "ideas" to see if some type of combined solution can be reached, that benefits ALL americans, not just the few.

I wish, I hope, I pray that one day a politician would come out with the truth.

I wish they would stop treating us like drooling morons, easily led and utterly trusting of whatever bilge comes out of their pie-holes.

Silly ATS'ers, tricks are for political parties.

Believe in the left/right paradigm. Continue to let the fringe determine our national discourse. Go watch American Idol, and don't forget your popcorn!

I don't understand how people can't see a difference in ideology.

Selective blindness, perhaps?

I don't see how people can't see that they are one and the same. It is not about what they SAY, it's about what they actually DO.... pay attention. Only one candidate is pointing this out, and has been doing so consistently for the past 30 years.

30 years. And what did he change?

We have different ideologies on ATS, the folks in office have similar ideological variances.

Those that are elected are the ones that appeal to the majority. So that means a more centrist profile.

Selective blindness sounds about right:

Care Act
Clean Air Act
NDAA
SOPA
ACTA
Expansion of the Patriot Act
Federal Reserve Act
Dodd Frank Act
Creation of Social Security,Medicare,Medicaid

Telling people what kind of light bulbs to use and banning transfats.

There are clear differences.,

Poor, poor OP!!

And like the Right is any better.
The Right is actually MUCH MUCH worst but both are PUPPETS.

And the cherry on top for this comedy thread, you mention Sean Hannity, Karl Rove and Fox News as if ANY of them are to be taken seriously.

You want someone GOOD for America and NO more ROTTEN Anti-American PUPPETS? Then your answer is Ron Paul. But it is sadly obvious that you are completely overtaken by delusion as made clear by your threads and posts here. One day folks like you will open their eyes!

Sean Hannity, Karl Rove and Fox News.
