Rare Twin Waterspouts Caught on Camera

Well i saw one of these off the coast of Blackpool UK about 30 years ago

Two waterspouts at the same time is not overly super rare though

The most common type of waterspout, called a fair-weather waterspout, is a short-lived affair that forms in the water itself and climbs skyward. They're typically far smaller and less dangerous than the waterspouts pictured above, known as tornadic waterspouts.

and this happened in Louisiana
so probably pretty rare for there..
Maybe not so much for fl but it is there
and pretty cool looking to see nature in action..
I wouldnt want to be in a little boat and that coming by.

HI cran. Interesting topic. Just to add to it.

On Wednesday we had a bunch of waterspouts form off of our Island here in the Gulf of Mexico. Here is an image with four at once. Others claimed to have seen six at one time.

That boat needs to get to safety quick!

Somehow that last picture with the 4 waterspouts in it, remind me of Zelda: The Wind Waker.. Must be me, playing those kind of games too much when i was younger..

Anyway: Awesome photo's guys, never seen such a show of nature.. Guess i should be glad not having to experience tornado's, hurricane's, earthquakes and all those other life threatening events!

Waterspouts are awesome!! Great pics OP. I see them often while fishing offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Over the years I have seen multiple spouts several times but no where near as often as singles. They generally move pretty slow and make for great pics.

There's only one thing that could have caused that many waterspouts at once....

As i said two at the same time is not rare i remember reading and seeing pictures of five or six waterspouts at the same time
