Our space flights

Just a very simple question which im sure their is a very sensible answer too but il ask it anyways:

No matter what Documentaries on space i watch, how many space shuttles you read about etc, satellites, cameras

They always do one of two things, fly towards the sun, or fly away from it, Why never up or down?

very simple i assume but something that always puzzled me

Strict code's like this are in place to help keep the machine 'running smoothly'. One of these policies is that members need to post their thoughts in the appropriate areas. I'm sure you'll understand the necessity for us having rules like this. It helps keep all the great threads and topics in their perspective areas of interest and not all lumped together, making it difficult to find when wanting to make additional comments.

With that said, I'm going to have to close this thread as it does not comply with the above stated rules. After you have managed to get 20 posts under your belt, start your own thread in one of the appropriate areas as we'd love to hear more on this subject you originally posted.

Well, you have to remember that space is big, I mean REALLY BIG!.
Its an incredable distance and undertaking to just go toward the stuff that we know is close by (relativly).

So a mission to head north/south into complete emptiness would probably result in a total waste of time, resources and money. hope that helps


BTW, how about using the introduction forum for its intended purpose.....an introduction.
Who are you? what brought you here? whats your story? you know introducty kinda stuff.

Go look at a vid of the solar system.
That way you don't have to put up with smart-ass responses that give no data.
