i respectfully disagree. money is money, and theyll never be able to match the kind of budget theyd need to create this kind of product to replicate
the shuttle or titan-V or anything, really, that NASA can, does, and will continue to come up with.
the x-prize gets the ball rolling. it gets people thinking, and those ideas can be used by others to further roll said ball. if they find a great
new cheap way to get some people up there, maybe NASA will improve it, making a great new cheap way to get pieces for th ISS up there, who knows? it
also prompts what i think will be the ultimate destination of a number of these companies is to create spaceliners, for private flights. (SpaceShipOne
with Virgin) wed all love a trip to zero-G
