I am sure you will have a lovely time. At least you know of the dangers in the area. I was talking to some people from OR and I mentioned earthquakes. All laughed at me and one even said, "well we had months warning when Mt St Helens blew". I didn't bother to explain St Helen's and an earthquake are different.
If you get a chance to go to Mt St Helens- go! It is amazing!
