Well, some may dislike him but I've felt he's one of the straight shooters and good guys at Fox. I never even saw his face for the longest time of listening by Satellite radio, so wasn't even aware of some of the controversies people throw up around him.

I'll tell ya though. Shepard Smith stood on the Causeway in New Orleans and just about broke down right there, on live TV of the body of a man he'd never met and likely never even knew the name of. That showed he's human beyond most of his worthless co-workers at Fox or any other media outlet for that matter. Simply showing he was human and couldn't block out everything was enough to get my loyalty until something big changes that.

It's a small thing... humanity...but so damn rare these days, I cherish it when I think I've spied some.
