Astronomer Catches Black Hole "Sucking in Star" Video

This is so cool!! Turns out these black holes are always eating stars. (This could be us on Dec. 21st 2012 right? lol) Now there is finally a live action video of this happening. Could any of you tech savvy ATSers out there post the video up so it makes it easier for people to see? Thanks in advance and enjoy

I would hardly call the possible destruction of life and civilizations 'COOL'. The terror faced by life on any surrounding planets is hard to comprehend.
I would describe this instead as fascinating or amazing. Fascinating to see, but to imagine we could be looking at the deaths of millions of lifeforms is very tragic.

It would be nice to see the actual event and not an animated version....But cool anyways!

I was really excited to see that and all of a sudden....This is a computer animation of what it looked like....

God damn, that story HAD to have been linked by the Drudge Report. There is just too much random off topic Obama hate lol.

At any rate,the video was great. First time observing a black hole is like the first time going to the moon.This is pretty big.
