Obama’s campaign re-election website has put up a public relations initiative called “The Life of Julia”.

It's a slideshow showing a girl from age 3 to adulthood.

All the whistles and bells are here, including some "thinking" and "wishing" outloud by the Obama campaign.

It seems to appeal to .... well, I'm not sure !!

President Obama’s campaign stratagem “The Life of Julia,” which traces “one woman over the course of her lifetime,” and how President Obama benefits her, is ridiculous for many reasons. One of the chief reasons it’s ridiculous, however, is that under this hypothetical, President Obama is president forever.

When Julia is 3 years old – presumably in the year 2015 – Julia is enrolled in Head Start thanks to “steps President Obama has taken.” When she’s 17, in the year 2029, her high school is part of the Race to the Top program, “implemented by President Obama.” When she’s 18, she and her family qualify for “President Obama’s American Opportunity Tax Credit.” When she’s 25, in the year 2037, she’s able to pay off her federal student loans “since President Obama capped income-based federal student loan payments.” When she’s 42 – this is the year 2044, and President Obama is at this point 83 years old, and well into his ninth term – she gets a small business loan thanks to “President Obama’s tax cuts for small businesses.” The slideshow concludes “President Obama is standing up for women throughout their lives.”

Obama has got to be hands down the absolute most corrupt president in the history of the US. This comming election will be very interesting to say the least. The bullcrap his people come up with, I'll just say, wow.

I don't think he'd get through a second term without having to run for cover after people riot from his destruction of our once great nation. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if people riot over the idea of a President thinking he should portray himself as a king or dictator of a free country that can put himself in power for that long.

Total lunacy... next thing you know, he'll tell the Fed to put this fake President on our fake currency.

You can't destroy a country in 4 years. Let's completely forget about the generations of corrupt presidents that were before him.

As for the slideshow on his website. I think it's a good way to relate with people in a way they can understand considering almost everyone has access to the internet.
How can anything bad be said about it? Just boggles my mind.

Really seriously? If Obama stay in office forever don't you know how long will it take for a revolution to occur?

I don't like Obama, didn't like this Bush, that Bush, Clinton, etc... They are all working for the same people. There's no difference. That being said... This just doesn't read the way you want it to, at least not to me. What I see in this, is the Obama administration attempting to show the immediate and long term effects of the programs and policies he implements during his presidency. Now, I think it's all BS and his policies need to go down the memory hole along with the patriot act and lots of other things, but I just don't think what your are suggesting is actually implied there.

And don't you know I would have been freaking out when FDR was elected to four terms. Who knows how long that would have gone on had he not died during his fourth term.

I think the big issue is that his whole campaign was based around "change". This didn't happen and even though its expected that not all things will, his outright lies havereally stoked the flames even more. What happened to him bringing the troops home right away? Thought we could take that one to the bank.....

Obama's problem is Not with kids (they don't vote !), it's with the younger Voters and the middle class (ex)workers who are unemployed.

Those voters can't get government assistance or a part time job that will pay their bills anymore !!!
The middle class does not want to become "generational" or "chronic" assistance recipients !

How can Those Voters possibly want another 4 years ?

They want their jobs back .... right now !

Not that I support Obama but the slide show gives a scenario for Romney as well so I guess whoever wins will be president for their lifetime.

I had a very brief conversation with a relative today regarding the upcoming election, and she made a statement that she hated to hear 'racists whites' call Obama a socialist...

We both are black, mind you, but I had to correct her and explain that he IS socialist, and then of course, I had to explain to her what a socialist is.

I then explained to her why I will not be voting for Obama in November, and why I will never vote democratic again.

Of course, in the black community, not voting democratic is like blasphemy against Lord God himself!! (I'm not even religious, so I really get looked at crazy

I explained how I see that the democratic party wants you dependent on government from cradle to grave, and of course she said, "the republicans are for the rich and the democrats are for the poor"

I agreed, and said, "Now why would you want to align yourself with the 'poor' party? As the saying goes :If the republicans are for the rich and the democrats are for the poor, then both parties will make more of what they are for

(let that sink in)

So finally, she says, "The democrats are the best party because how do you expect to make it in life with no programs?????"

I just stared in awe; just think of how many people believe the way she does....the more people that believe that being educated and rich is evil and that being uneducated and poor 'cuz the gubment gone hep us' is the way to go, the more unproductive citizens will be bred....

this entitlement from cradle to gave mentality will be the death of our country.

Refreshing attitude, especially standing up against your familial core belief system, or however I can put that without offense.

I have a gay relative that is strongly republican. I am always amazed that he stands so strongly in that direction, since the conservatives don't really stand behind him. He lets that slide for the same reasons you do.

The Life of Julia panders to the simple-minded. I don't think it matters that Obama is represented as the President through the whole lifeline, I think it does show what one President can put in motion in one 4 year cycle that can follow Julia for life.

But another President can change things, so nothing is forever.

When you align with a political party, it does necessarily mean that you place yourself in a box and agree with every ideology on their list.....those may just be the majority of the party's views.

I am a new republican, however I am in NO way religious
I believe abortion helps the population
I believe in gay and lesbian rights
I want to see church separated from state.

My main reason for aligning with the republican party is the ideology about government dependence,and being responsible and productive...less taxes and less 'programs' handicapping the hell out of society.
