Just a little question I wanna ask my fellow ATS members
.

Okay so when I'm almost asleep, when I'm drifting off.
I suddenly have the feeling I'm falling outa my bed.
Like my muscles are reacting to it.
But just for a few seconds, and then I realise I wasn't falling.
I don't know why this happens to me, it just sometimes does.
Did this happen to anyone aswell?
And can someone explain to me, why does this happen sometimes?
This has nothing to do with an OOBE right?

What you have is known as 'night jumps' goes back to prehistory when we supposedly lived in trees, and there was the constant fear of falling out of the tree. (well, that's what I read, years ago)

It is funny, but I was just thinking about this subject a couple of nights ago, and had a thought on why so many people have the falling dream. I do not know for sure how widespread the old nursery rhyme is but if you think about the words that we sing to babies it is no wonder so many people dream of falling

"Rock-a-bye baby in the treetop,
when the wind blows the cradle will rock.
When the bough breaks the cradle will fall.
Down will come baby, cradle and all.

I heard that lullabye, probably sang that lullabye, without really thinking. But why would adults wanting to get children asleep actually sing these words to an infant. They are not comforting words.

I tried searching for it, but I heard it had something to do with an OOBE, so I was looking in that direction
and I couldn't find it. That's why xD.

I have had that happen to me quite a bit and ot scares the liveing s@#* out of me but I also cant explain it either
