youtube.com...

RonPaul2008dotcom has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user posted.

His channel was set up in early 2008, during his first run, and has hosted his personal Presidential and Attack ads. Also all his TV appearances.

Not sure what to think about this?

Hopefully just a glich and not TPTB attempt to censure him more.

If the reason was (c) then the user can make a complaint about the closing. If it's valid the channel and it's content will be restored.

"JKF"ing Ron Paul will be worst thing they could ever decide to do. Only will only make the Revolution much more aggressive towards the Establishment or anyone else that decides to stand in their way.

Why does everyone thing that Google ( Youtube ) is TPTB? ..

So many wild theories around here.. =)

The person running it could have shut it down..or there could have been any number of reasons why.. is it official? .. if not then it could have been in violation of copyrights .. I'm an RP fan but I hadn't seen the channel so I don't know the history, it's owner or it's contents.. but those are all relevant because they could have been in violation of TOS... a lot of times things go a few years before youtube takes action..

The op's post says copyright.. so that's very likely the reason.. his ads probably contain copyright material and they give you time to remove it after warning... they didn't comply.. we don't know WHICH ad has the complaint.. but it could have been a recent one..

If the channel is not official and does not have license to the content, then it won't matter ..if this is some guy who just copied the ads, and it contains a song in there that isn't licensed to the youtube user.. the copyright claim is valid.. even if it's official, the copyright may not allow it's use on youtube.. I've seen that before as well ..

But I seriously doubt RonPaul2008dotcom is official or has any claims to the copyright material.. like I suggested, it very well may have been one ( or more ) of Ron's more recent ads that triggered the complaints.. and if thise youtube user chose to ignore them and not remove the infringing material.. then he violated the rules.

Your right just because it was started by DARPA and the CIA. Why should anyone think there should be anything unusual about this. These agencies are all innocent and have nothing to do with TPTB.

Hmmm, that's some BS. Then again, the copyright hounds at YT are well known for shutting down channels because of "copyright" infringement. Luckily, the channels they shut down usually are brought back online after the channel owners contest YT claim. Their latest victim that I am aware of was the man who runs Mox News. He constantly has his channels shut down and then brought back. It's ridiculous. Hopefully this'll be the case with RP2008dotcom. It was a popular RP YT channel.

Sure they ban a lot of channels for Copyright Infringement. But why this one, NOW all of a sudden. They could of done this last year or the year before or the year before. But, at this point in time for them to do this makes me wonder, AGAIN.

Not sure what to think about this?

It's youtube. I'd had various copyright complaints against me even though all of my content (that isn't my own creation) is allowed to be used under fair use and Alex Jones went to great lengths to make sure that was understood.

Now, since my channel doesn't get a lot of hits, they merely mute the audio for certain countries, or in some cases, overlay some adds into the video.

but repeated complaints, and failure to act, on a large traffic generating channel, will get it shutdown.

Besides the fact that Paul is running for 2012, not 2008 anymore, I'm fairly confident the copyright issue would be the news clips, it's always the news clips.

Dang...I thought *I* was going to get to point out that the closed channel is NOT the official channel for the campaign...

Compare Mitt's views and subscribers to Paul's:

Mitt:
6,768 subscribers
6,500,413 video views

Paul:
60,206 subscribers
10,925,769 video views

Something seems off?
Keep in mind Paul get's little to no coverage and Romney is supposed to have all of this support

So Romney should be closer to Barack Obama's numbers, right?

Obama:
209,663 subscribers
181,552,972 video views

Romney's phantom support base really needs to make it's presence known. I understand that he is rumored to appeal to older folk, but I feel like the esteemed republican nominee's official channel should at least match Paul in terms of YouTube fans and views.

here is another source... examiner but... still a source. Link

One of 2012 Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul's most effective avenues to reach his millions of supporters has been through the internet and social media. On Monday, one of those avenues was shut down. YouTube has banned one of Ron Paul's most used YouTube channels.

If you try to go to Ron Paul's 2008 campaign channel, you will instead receive a message that states, "RonPaul2008dotcom has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user posted.”

And then your surprised when you find your use of their infrastructure 'censored'?
