Friends...

I just woke this morning and was making my usual rounds of the subtle and strange, which typically includes a quick perusal through ATS and Infowars. I noticed that one of AJ's top stories this morning was a speculative piece called "Could Fast & Furious Scandal Bring Down Obama?". I saw this and just thought...nope.

After everything that I've seen Obama do, things that absolutely defy every notion of our Constitution, I just don't believe that the scandal exists that will permeate the minds of the American people. The malaise of the masses is so great now, so absolutely ingrained, that I just don't think anything will seem to shock them back into consciousness. If Watergate happened today, it would be forgotten by the next news cycle, I guarantee.

So, my question to the ATS community today is this, am I right or wrong? Do you agree or disagree? Is the psychological takeover of America complete?

Peace to all of you...

Holder will be forced to fall on the sword to protect Obama in regards to Fast and Furious.

Then we just have to keep spotlighting Obama's infractions and Chicago style bully tactics so that America can wise up to just who the man really is and who he is not.

The media is hell bent on keeping these stories on the back burner and out of the headlines. CBS tried to spotlight F and F and got whacked and bullied by Obama's henchmen. Now, CBS' lips are sealed...

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

True. True...

So true. Unfortunately, anyone who is against Eric Holder, Obama, or the administration as a whole has been deemed racist. Eric Holder said exactly that, he said there were people in congress that don't like what he does, and doesn't agree with policies of the administration that are racist.

So, if anyone believes the administration is acting against the law or against the constitution, they are racist and are not to be believed. Just disgusting. But hey, let's give the college kids more money, and special interests more money, lets create a false controversy that women don't work, and then come out and say we know women work hard, demonize the very people that contribute big money to your campaign, and that way, you get reelected. Buy votes. That is exactly what this President is doing, buying votes and making others feel guilty. I shudder to think what will happen if he gets a second term.

How would bringing Obama change anything? He's not in charge and the people
who are will just put another puppet in his place. The corruption in America is
systemic. Just like a Lernaean hydra, cut off one head and two more will grow up in it's place.
The only way to stop it is to kill it.

how about this, his lies. Is that enough reason for people to think of his entire term as a scandal? Remind them.

Obama's Fails. Promised us allot. Did none of it. No he can't.
These are his fails, our fails, we all failed. He is not untouchable. Just don't vote for the liar.

Considering Obamas aid to the muslim brotherhood in Egypt and Libya we actually for the first time saw what the aid really meant.

Running Guns to Mexico they say arming drug dealers but there is a well know Fact that the muslim brotherhood is in Mexico right along with Hamas and Hezbollah.

The real resonas Holder is blocking congress.

Digest that thought for a little while and see if it makes any sense.

Fast and Furious?...as much of a cluster-ef as that was, it takes a real stretch of imagination to connect the dots and contend the President thought up or even OKed a specific undercover ATF operation that started 3 years before he took office.

You liken it to Watergate?...Do you know what Watergate was?

That was beautiful Fast and Furious started over 3 years ago? Never seen the current potus or their party ever miss the chance to blame Bush for everything and yet all Holder and the Admin is doing is blocking the investigation.

Which means what now?

They are trying to hide their duplicitous actions.

I din't assign blame to Bush, only stated a known fact. The ATF started to let guns walk in 2006...and niether President Bush or President Obama authorized it.

Facts matter.

Fair enough, but I wasn't likening this to Watergate, but rather to how the 24 hour news cycle has created a mass societal ADD in which TPTB and the MSM simply "change the channel" on the people, and there then exists something akin to a mass forgetting. It reminds me of that movie UP that came out not terribly long ago with the talking dog that would forget everything in the middle of a sentence so long as he saw a squirrel.

My thread wasn't actually about Fast & Furious specifically in this regard, but rather how there seems to be no accountability any longer for anything because the people are so wilfully manipulated and distracted. My point with Watergate is that if it occured today, it would not bear the same consequence. It would be spun, diffused, and forgotten.

Well, I agree with a lot of what you said there. Standard operating proceedure in DC when someone gets caught is "Keep your head down and hope the Kardashian sisters do something dumb in the next 12 hours" - which is a safe bet...Yes...national ADD. Sad, but true.

You left out the part about how the "Promises Broken" represent just 13% of the 500+ pledges he made during his campaign and that he made efforts to keep every one of those "promises broken", but ran into the GOP house on nearly every occcasion.

www.politifact.com...

Or that the GOP pledged 57 items that they would do in thier first year in controlling the house...they have kept just 10 of those 57 promises.
