The field from the craft will repell air molecules away from the skin of the craft, thus the craft is traveling in its own vaccum.

repelling air molecules wont make a difference... high pressure wants to fill in low pressure, the difference causes drag.

the molecules need somewhere to go, so if you push the front molecules away they still need to get out of the way of the craft. which is either up down or around. only way i can think of at the moment to remove them temporarily.

Actually there are around 4 methods used in anti-gravity craft, one is inexpensive, the next is slightly high priced, and the other two (used in black projects) are extremely expensive. Since the space agency is linked to the military industrial complex they would use the more expensive types. Anti-gravity technology will be introduced this century but very carefully, because as some have mentioned it will cause a lot of problems.

If it is introduced in our age only the methods of producing it which are most complex and use the rarest materials should be uncovered...this would completely put it out of the hands of extremists who would want to abuse the technology.

The other option would be an inertial propulsion system, this could be introduced because it does not create a gravity field itself and has limited range (unless you power it with a nuclear battery).

I think using anti gravity would change everything to do with our infrastructure. It reminds me of the world as depicted in the 2012 film 'Total Recall' with vast buildings as well as vehicles hovering about the place.

Would be amazing, if possible!
