CISPA has passed the House.

I know this has other threads but this link might help.

It only takes a minute to contact your Senators (you have two) to ask them not to vote in favor of CISPA.

Senate Contacts

It got even worse by amendment.passing through the House

I think we are screwed unless we fight and this is the only way I know how. Big talk here doesn't help.

Make contact politely but firmly if you value your freedom.

Thanks again for your efforts here... I wish we could muster the same support now that SOPA and PIPA got to put those bad ideas down. For what it's worth and all the good it'll do.....

Good Evening,

My name is (removed). I'm a full time college student attending (removed) here in Springfield. In addition to pursuing a degree, I'm very active online with a number of sites for political topics and the state of affairs in our nation today. I've come to be a student after one full career has come and closed along with the life experience that has brought me. It is in this context I write this today.

The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection act is of top concern to me and my family. I not only participate very heavily in online political discourse and debate but I moderate at one site while operating my own websites which this new law may in some way come to negatively impact.

I joined in the last large scale protest online against the SOPA and PIPA legislative efforts which I read as very similar to this one we're now seeing move through. I'm afraid that in defeating SOPA and PIPA in a very broad show of public opposition, those same people are too busy now to so quickly rejoin the battle over this bill.

As a constituent and a voter who helped elect you in this past election, I respectfully request that you take an extra moment to read this piece of legislation and consider it in the context of how such a law fits in with our Representative Republic and Freedom. As Americans have always had to balance the needs of security and defense, I understand the position Government leadership faces today. This would seem to represent a step beyond where that balance lay, when taken in context to everything else happening in the world and our nation today.

I appreciate your time in considering this,
(address removed)

That is what my two senators just got and I'm sticking it up in case it might help inspire anyone else for what to write. It at least gets recorded as one hash mark on the pro/against side of the list in their offices....enough marks over the other side and it lives or dies...so it can't hurt to take a moment and drop a note everyone! It's only a few minutes lost... No biggy.
