Space Plane Engines Being Tested.

I was thrilled to see the segment on BBC news yesterday evening about the testing of these engines and the vehicle for which they are intended. Assuming that these engines can be made to operate at thier optimum, they would be capable of far better thrust to wieght ratios than larger launch platforms, and be less wasteful than current launch systems. I am very impressed, and cannot wait to see how this technology can be applied to the big challenges of space travel.

What a FANTASTIC story........ I only wish is that the Government SEES the potential here for the future in terms of Space transport, launch capability and all the associated benefits that a technology like this would bring to the UK.......

I hope there is someone brave enough to champion the idea and back the R&D required here............

Perhaps stop wasting money, taxes on trivialities, Maybe the Greed culture of the highly paid few in Business and the media could divert their obscene wealth in this (without expectation of huge rewrdas) for the benefit of our society and perhaps all mankind....

I just hope the UK doesn't lose this to 'foriegn' investors !!!

Thats the worry.

The UK government (either party) has a long history of sabotaging and undermining British technical genius.

Especially in the realm of aviation. Which the bankers, lawyers and ad men that we select to rule our nation are not capable of understanding.
