Hi All!

I am a 29 year old male, living in Sydney Australia. I am currently looking after my father as a full time carer. Been doing that for a little over a year now. I used to work in the metal industry, on the sales side for nearly 9 years.

Got a big passion for the sciences, especially anything linked with space! Astronomy, Astrophysics, Quantum Mechanics etc... Love all forms of technology, I like to build my own PCs... it can be a little frustrating at times when something doesn't work but you all know how computers can be
haha... Also taken an interest into Spirituality only in the last couple of years or so, I find it very fascinating and something not everyone can relate to. And of course very interested in all things related to this website... UFOs, Conspiracy theories, paranormal etc.

Been checking this site out for some months and thought I would "take the plunge" and make an account and get more involved. Looking forward to getting to know you all and hoping I can offer some valuable input in these discussions

Sounds like you'll be a great fit for the forums.

Welcome to ATS.

If you like reading fiction, head over to the short stories forum sometime. There are quite a few of us that have been very active in it the last couple months, and I am beginning to try and rope in new members...

If not, no worries.

AboveTopSecret is much like a theme park with many, many rides, with that said...
Here's a few thoughts before getting onto any one of the 1000's of topical rides at Above Top Secret, also known as ATS, the world's largest Civil & Unique Discussion Community.

*** Please be at least this tall to get on any of the rides, (Johnny stretches his arm outward), and act like an 'civil' adult. This will save you a lot of future stress, frustration and possible action by one of your friendly neighborhood Mods!

*** Please remember that some members are very passionate and vocal depending on what ride you're on. Before getting on a ride, you should be mentally fit, emotionally stable and have a strong stomach for theories, conjecture, research and evidence presented that may be contrary to your own.

*** Please be "open-minded" enough to understand that sometimes the ride isn't always what you might think or expect. At times, you may learn something new and 'out-of-the-box' before you get off the ride, this is a natural and normal phenomena.

*** Please note that at times the ride gets overly-heated and "it's strongly suggested" to get off the ride to regroup one's thoughts before continuing. This will also help guarantee that the ride will move forward without getting derailed or explode into a fiery trashbin.

*** Please have fun! But be aware if you act in an uncivil-like manner, use profanity, troll, intentionally spread a hoax and/or get verbally abusive, you will be removed off the ride by a Moderator. This is for your safety, & also for those both young and old on the ride with you.

So buckle up, keep your arms within the ride's comfort zone, have fun and "Deny Ignorance"...!

I know this is off topic.
But I wish you the best with your father. I did that also for my Father the last 3 years of his life. The final year and a half was the worst. He was bed ridden and it was hard I would only leave the house to get goods and medicine.
No friends, no social life. I do beleive this place will do you great good.

Thanks all for the warm welcome and advice in where to go and what to do

And thank you Proob4 .... It sure is not easy that's for sure. He has Alzheimer's disease, was diagnosed in 2009. Early on-set as well... he only just turned 60. I keep seeing "possible breakthrough's" in the treatment of it, through the MSM but it always seems to hit a brick wall because of certain "doctors" in high positions thinking it will do more harm than good, even though the results prove otherwise.

Anyway won't get into too much on here as it is only an intro thread
cheers all

There are many members here from down under, and I'm glad you've joined as well. QM is a favorite topic of mine as well.

I think you'll be a welcome addition.
