GRANBY, Conn. — In 2004, 17-year-old Melissa Galka, a senior at Granby Memorial High School, died several days after being seriously hurt when the car she was driving hit a tree on Silver Street in Granby.Within days of her death, she began communicating with her family, her father Gary Galka told The Courant Monday. “She started doing things like ringing the doorbell, changing TV channels, turning lights on and off,” Galka said.
“I’ve created over 30 different products for paranormal research. No one was making products for these people,” Galka said. The crew of “Ghost Adventures” uses several of Galka’s devices: the Mel-Meter, the SB7 Spirit Box and other devices to detect paranormal activity when they film each episode.
Galka’s most recent invention is a device that he says can detect shadows in the dark.

I think at one point we will be able to communicate with the departed through some sort of wavelenght. We are made up of engery so all it takes is to tap into a different dimension. I'm not sure if you guys watch this show on Biography Channel called "My Ghost Story" but most of these stories they show, feature really good EVP's. Class A, sounds like a living person EVP. My problem with that is that its way too clear and a little bit hard to believe.
I've heard some good ones before and most of them are just a few words, not complete sentences like on that show. Sounds very made up if you ask me.

I told my wife I thought Zak was a low-IQ gay guy, my arm still hurts where she hit me!!
EVP's seem to have something to it.... this guy reminds me of the bond I have with my daughter, we are such pals and I would go off the deep end if I lost her, which seems like that is what this man has done.
If one believes in familiar spirits or demonic activity they prey on these feelings.
If anyone is interested I can tell you a few stories regarding my sister who died way to soon and was very tuned into the 'spirit world'.
By the way, have you seen the Dead Files? Pretty good as I fear GA is starting to get like the Ghost hunters (more 'help' aka faked stuff!).
