I 'm starting this thread after reading a brief but interesting thread by new member Simon017, who apparently was a pilot during WWII and personaly saw foofighters. His thread was closed due to not having twenty posts as yet.
So here you go Simon, you can get your twenty posts right here. I'm certain there will be lots of questions on the subject.

Clever.

But, I think Simon wants flags.

He could also just post anywhere on this forum and quickly get 20 posts in a very short time.

Maybe he is busy with that right now...

I'm more interested in why someone who is at least ninety years old feels the need to "spill the beans" about his exploits on a conspiracy theory web site.

Most old soldiers I've encountered are extremely reserved...

Yes, he must be at least 90.

The only way however that we will get to the bottom of this, is to hear his story and then draw our conclusions.

Just hope its not like that thread from the other elderly gentleman from a month or two back, who makes a post, then dissapears when questions got asked.

likely because that thread 'read' just like the many other BS stories posted here by that kid from the UK. CasiusPlejaren Elliott Bernard Schnitzel or whatever name he's chosen to go by this time around.

I have a few secrets I would just love to throw up on ATS but without evidence it is pointless.

PHOTOS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!

THOSE PHOTOS ARE FAKES!

If you have kept a secret that long perhaps he feels that there is really nothing the authorities could now do that would make a scrap of difference.

My sentiments precisely.

Not that there were'nt pilots that saw "foo fighters", but I'm curious as to this alleged one surfing the net to tell all and sundry about it.

Yes, he might be the real deal, but experience says he's not.

As I've said, I've met a few WW2 pilots and they seem to be more concerend about important things; the friends they've lost, the state of the country, cricket and being served the correct glass for their next G&T. I had the privilege of knowing a Lancaster bomber pilot; he wouldn't allow swearing infront of women. I stood him a half pint of best bitter behind the bar of his local on the day he died. Wonderful, wonderful men. It'll be a damned shame when they're all gone.

They're a breed apart and shouldn't be lampooned in any way, shape of form.

I sent him a U2U about this thread. Whether he finds it or not, remains to be seen.

just a troll as pointed out above.

And if by chance they are who they claim, they are always more than welcome to contact staff.
I will be closing this thread now that it has been answered, and we don't allow threads about threads, or trolls.
Anyone has any questions feel free to pm me.
