yeah pretty much don't doubt you at all i think the purpose of the drill in the first article was to simulate a stealth attack on the united states and how we can currently do it if we were attacked but it would cost us

Don't believe everything you read put out by ANY government agency - especially the DoD. During the Vietnam War I was a PA officer for the Navy and more than half the sh*t we cranked out every day was bogus disinformation and frankly we were damn good at it too. Not only did we fool all the major TV networks withour propaganda and success stories but more than alf of the troops as well. It is a morale booster as much as to confuse and intimidate the enemy. The claim of so many targets without documentation and "damage assessment photos" is plain BS guys.

If you have ever seen a AC130H Spectre or a AC130U Spooky at work 1000 targets in one pass is nothing.

But without air support, in a hostile environment, that AC-130 is nothing but a nice fat target. An F-15/E or an F-22 can do both, albeit on a smaller scale. In the Navy, I was the Plane Captain for 3 F/A-18 Hornets, and have worked on a variety of aircraft from a DC-10 to a C-130 as an Electronics specialist. The warfare packages these things carry, especially the F15 and F22 are amazing.

Of course, you have your statistics backwards...

But, if you prefer, we could go back to the good old days of the carpet bombing of Dresden...where the intent was to target and kill every unarmed civilian in the city. If we managed to take out a few enemy soldiers, some military hardware, while we were at it - bonus!

The way we wage war now in the West is as close to antiseptic as it has ever been. We spend billions of dollars developing and deploying high-precision weapons systems specifically designed to hit military targets only. We employ rules of engagement that put our own troops at risk, to ensure the safety of innocent bystanders.

So, in short, give your head a shake.

The US Military is very adept at small long term wars such as Iraq and Afghanistan, Or it can fight a short major war. But it is not set up to fight a protracted major war.
B2 Bombers require 100 Hours of maintenance for each hour of flight, Advanced helicopters and tanks require much higher maintenance than their foreign counterparts. USAF jets are Delicate compared to Russian, Chinese and European Fighter aircraft. The initial strikes will produce US victories in battle, but as the war grinds on US military is not set up to replace equipment quickly, maintain them efficiently or absorb retaliatory strikes that will be coming from opponents. The US will be forced to resort to Nuclear weapons to avoid military loss, and then resulting nuclear retaliation will seal US fate.

Unfortunately inventory of spare parts are kept very low to reduce cost and relying on JIT supply chains, the US military procurement system is a nightmare to work with and results in large amounts of counterfeit and sub par components supplied for high technology equipment. When some of these aircraft, missiles, rockets, and other high technology equipment is tested under large scale war conditions the outcomes will not reflect war game scenarios, but reality of a decades long emphasis on super technology at the expense of basic Military fundamentals.

Yes, we should think.

A numerical analysis reveals that we have 535 senators and congressmen. The active players in the office of the president include the president and vice-president (discounting the royal entourage of around 450 people and czars). So, it appears that we have around 537 politicians. I believe I could prove to a jury that these politicians "represent" the 1%. So the equation boils down to 537 politicians representing 3 million that are looting the world. But ...... we have to look deeper because these combined politicians and elite are no longer content to raid, loot and pillage foreign lands, they have declared common Americans to be the "enemy".

Now .... for the sake of argument ..... if the Air Force could take out 1000 targets in a single pass, then perhaps cleaning up Washington ought to be possible with just a half pass?

Simply put, sir or madam, the only reason that the American military gets "humiliated by farmers with rusty AK47's" as you put it, is because they exercise restraint. When the insurgencies began after the military victories in Iraq and Afghanistan, they could have quite easily put those down through the application of blunt and brutal force.

Much the same way that Saddam Hussein and Mullah Omar had done with those populations...it is not rocket science. But they chose not to use the tools of war to crush the general population...instead to invest their time, money and energy in engaging in nation-rebuilding (whilst they took casualties from the insurgencies).

And when I say "they", I mean Americans, Canadians, Brits, French and other coalition forces.

And...in the same way...quite frankly, the U.S. could have ended the conflict in Vietnam in about 3 1/2 hours if they had wished too.

"They aren't brave enough to fight a real enemy" ??? Hmmm...well, name one that they are not "brave enough" to fight. If push comes to shove, I will put American / Canadian / Australian / British / French / German / Israeli / etc. technology, equipment, firepower and balls up against any foe.

It's far less than 300 million people. Your beef shouldn't be with the American People. They're innocent. Obedience is all they know. Your beef is with the Puppet Masters. The elite Few. There's less than 500 of these people and America is not all that they control.
