Question about avatars

Got a question about avatars;

ABOUT ATS Avatar and signature Guidelines

and especially this part:

Erotic, Suggestive, Violent or Illegal Content

ATS and BTS is a diverse community with a mission to help people understand important issues from current events and history. Due to an evolution from women in bathing suits to women wearing less while in suggestive poses that often detracts from the mission, the following content guidelines apply to the content of both avatars and signatures:
1) No photos of persons wearing less than shirt-and-shorts.
2) No artwork (non-photo) of persons wearing less than bathing attire.
3) No persons, or links to persons in a sexually suggestive pose.
5) No persons engaged in what would be considered an obscene gesture.
6) No persons pointing weapons at the viewer of the image.
7) No images or links to images containing blood or gore.
8) No images or links to content containing people involved in an illegal act.
9) No images or links to images containing illegal objects.
10) No images that are taunting in nature toward any person or group of persons.
11) Other content, which at the discretion of forum staff, is designed to be vulgar, obscene, or offensive to the majority of ATS and BTS visitors and members.

Now I am taking a branding hopefully next thursday. And I would like to take a picture and use that as avatar. As it will be placed on my shoulder, If I take a pic well a shirt wouldn't fit. The picture will not be erotic, suggestive, profane. It will not contain blood. I am not sure if a branding is illegal to the place where this site is located. I'm just proud to wear my art.

So will I get in trouble for placing an avatar with a pic of a branding. Or the branding itself? You only see smoke lol

Lol. Dude, do your best. If they don't like it, you'll be notified.

But, seems cool sounding. Good luck.

But, may I ask. Why get branded? Are you a special enough person that you don't need to modify your body for either self-indulgence or for attention "look at me".

I think you will be a lot more happier years down the road Not getting it.

By the way, if you are doing it for a Frat or something like that. DON'T. TRUST ME>

Hi thanks for your reply.

I take a branding for myself.
I don't care if people look at me or not. their problem not mine.

I take a (2nd) branding because of certain happenings/phases in my life.
My 1st branding initiated thoughts that were stuck to come free and it was much more
Now that it is all processed I want to seal that era with something positive.
And again gain a lot of energy from it.

It is a scar that heals, it is different then a tat.



And I like the roughness of fire and flesh
And I realized with my first branding that such an intense pain is the only way to let me stop thinking.
It is just me......... and a lot of pain.

It is no fun, it hurts... a lot but..... it is special.

Forgot to mention.

It is illegal in lots of places
One is not allowed to modify you body as you want.
That is why I ask.

Each section has to be 4 seconds on your skin.

My 1st was just pressing 3 times.
My second will be pressing 56 times 56 is no typo.

I am not sure I can coop with it.
But I wonder where it will bring me this time.

I could u2u a mod.
But there is not much info on brandings so I thought I would place it public and see what other ATS-ers think about it.

I don't see where it should be offensive but I am not a mod. Some people will no doubt find a way to be offended but that seems to be status quo these days. I hope you get what it is you are seeking by doing this. I have tattoos myself but the branding is a little far out for me.

What if I have a shoulder fetish? Should I avoid my eyes when your avatar appears? And if that creepy tarantula crawling up out of the bathtub avatar is legal here, anything should be able to roam free.

I just ask because the act of branding is illegal in several places. So I'm not sure if I would be illegal showing a pic of a branding as avatar.

I got a tat myself but i didn't like the needles. they hurt man!
Branding hurts more but it triggers a natural response of chemicals inside me

Where will it bring me? Well I don't know. Probably it is connected with the fact it is more interesting to cross my boundaries then to show that I can cross yours (or societies whatever).

Not sure how to put it. If I cross someone else's border I provoke them, showing that their border means nothing to me. If I cross mine, well its mine, it can go either way;

yeah that was definitely my limit.
or Whoah amazing, it was a border but look what is behind, where can we go now?

I didn't read anything in the T&C about having or not having fetishes of the users.
