Good movies?

As for Sci'Fi, nothing beats "2012 A Space Oddessy"....I'm sure you've seen it, but as dated as it is, I see some new meaning each time i see it...


These aren't sci-fi....but in my opinion, very thought provoking in a different way....as far as the human condition goes...

I Sci Fi movie that I love and most people never heard of is Sunshine. It is made by the guy who did 28 days later (British zombie movie). It's a great movie because: the technology is somewhat realistic while being futuristic, the characters have real flaws and conflicts, and the movie becomes epic IMO with serious drama, danger, sacrifices, etc in space.

I watched Shutter Island last night....not Sci Fi but a great movie. I catch something new every time I see it.
