You know how it is when you are looking for certain types of things and you just happen to come across something that really makes you sit up in your seat and makes you want to share things with others..

Well, I was watching a programme that made me do a search for some video..
I found this lovely high quality video of an aircraft landing near a beach..

Then along came the same beach, different day.. different plane.. and, oh my, aren't you just glad you were not the driver of that car..

enjoy..

I saw this a while back.
It's insane that public is allowed on that strip of the beach.
Just imagine if it comes in too low and knocks a few heads off.
Lawsuit waiting to happen.

There are a whole slew of vids about this spot and it seems to be a novel hotspot for turbine body sailing.
Good times, but I keep thinking about safety glasses yo!

Imagine a rock thrown by the thrust of the engine!
Put a hole in your head.

I love the landing videos! That is some crazy stuff.

Apparently the takeoffs are scary too, at least for people that try to brave the jet engines.

I think this was taken just a few days ago.

"On the beach at Maho Sint Maarten, behind Princess Juliana International Airport, a girl is blowing through the power of an aircraft engine line and finished the first head on the edge of a wall."

Brilliant...

I bet they're hoping to get both feet off the ground and just hang on to the rail

Maybe the A380 will land there sometime in the future..

And I bet they would like a jumbo taking off like this at that beach
not that there would be any beach left afterwards...

I can see the local bobbies closing off that stretch when planes are due to leave..

Dunno what the locals are gonna say when asked to move little jimmy and his new sand castle out of the way..
