Inside the world's largest STONE forest

Isolated and inhospitable, this huge collection of razor-sharp vertical rocks looks like the last place where wildlife would thrive.
The colossal 'Grand Tsingy' landscape in western Madagascar is the world's largest stone forest, where high spiked towers of eroded limestone tower over the greenery.
But despite its cold, dangerous appearance, the labyrinth of 300ft stones is home to a number of animal species, including 11 types of lemur.

I happened across this and it is just beautiful and awesome. The pictures are amazing and beautiful in a harsh looking environment, yet a thriving habitat. Mods, I searched and did not find anything on this so please close if duplicate, move if incorrectly placed. Thanks.

beautiful indeed, i believe i saw a show on the lemurs and something about them having only one enemy to worry about besides man and that was eagles i think? anyway it was cool to see them making a living in such a place.

I agree. Madasgar is one of the most amazing places on this planet. It's so alien yet right here with us. I have some Madasgar hissing roaches. Giant gentle "bugs".

Why wouldn't an alien want to visit such a beautiful planet.
Perhaps our planet's diverse geology, resembles many of the Universe's planetary systems. Earth may have them all rolled up into one, making us a galactic tourist trap. Of course, don't forget the local(s) restaurants.

There are no monkeys, just chickens, pigs and cows.
