Whats on a Chinook helicopter?

Actually I was keeping the water oxygenated to keep the fish healthier.You can blame the nuclear power station for the mutants.
Anyway back on subject,I very much doubt if a troop carrying helicopter would be used for any sort of observation platform,I would imagine they'd use a Lynx for that purpose?

Just seemed a bit odd to have a chinook hovering over a crime scene, especialy as it was only there for a minute at most. I wondered whether it could get a fix on all the mobile phones or as I mentioned, an xray snapshot, I'm sure they are capable of doing this.

Probably not connected,they could have been returning from an exercise,saw something going on down below and stopped to have a look.Like I said above Chinooks just aren't made for this sort of thing,that's why they have the Lynx which could be equipped in such a way or maybe even the new Eurocopter?
Xray isn't possible from that distance as I explained above (heat signature or infra red is) and mobile phone locations can be triangulated easier from ground level,or even easier still they can use the cellsite's link to the mobile device in question to pinpoint it's location with reasonable accuracy.

Your right though about the phones, but I wonder how long it would take to get the data from the phone companys, whereas I would imagine the military probably have devices to make the phones all speak at once and hence an opertunity for a snapshot. As you say, a lynx would more likely be equiped for this sort of thing.

I expect the truth will come out soon and we'll find out they were using the chinook to deliver sandwiches to the police.

Or just hope the "scallywag" in question has an iPhone,then all you need to do is give Apple a call and they can tell you everywhere he's been since he bought the phone.Thank god for the anonymity of Android phones.

I got to walk through one at a fair when I was maybe 9 or 10. I still remember pretty well. It was huge on the inside. Hollow. The inside was that familiar dark greenish color. The inside was no different. It's built for transporting troops and even heavy/big equipment.

A few seats along the walls for troops. Nothing too exciting to look at really.

But I suppose there could be LOTS of things on a chinook....Just depends on what they need to transport. Weapons, troops, aid like food and water....
