Been here daily for 4 years, finally joined.

Hello,

I was first brought to ATS by doing research on Fluoride, and aluminofluoride complexes.

My mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer at age 50. I have a 50/50 chance of developing the disease myself, so it is a topic of great interest to me.

She worked at a dental office from age 19 to 45ish, and for some reason actually brushed here teeth with flouride daily for that time.

I dropped out of school after 9th grade to work to support myself. I worked as a carpenter for 14 years until there just wasn't anymore work. I currently do data entry for a small insurance company(idk for how long with the coming changes to healthcare). So I am a bit of a klutz when it come to grammar, and mastery of our language seeing as I didn't really learn to type until just a few years ago.

Self educated for the most part, and have no problem admitting when I am wrong. I am glad I finally joined because honestly I get a sense of community here I fail to get out of my daily life lately, seeing as I work alone in an office all day, then come home and scour the interpipes for answers alone at night. I am hopelessly introverted lol, that's why it has taken me so long to finally join the ranks. I have a lot of theories and ideas about what we are doing here and why, and hope to contribute to discussions going forward.

Hope that wasn't to much of a train wreck.

Welcome, shall I say "Active Observer?" Thanks for the background and yea it is nice to actually correspond with others when shuffling opinions and facts around. The feedback is a great way to both learn and unlearn. I hope some great innovations are in the pipes for Alzheimer's, because it is a growing affliction. The only thing I have seen that could be used to help prevent it is consumption of daily fruit juices.

I have a friend that is in carpentry and his work dried up too. He is now a landscape designer, but has continued to drum up a little carpentry work by advertising on craig's list. He has to offer cheap bids, but it still helps.

Awesome man, Welcome in to the community. I'm pretty new here myself. After a few posts it doesn't matter how shy you are, you get over it. I am very introverted too, but I can take forever typing, and not have to respond right away, while trying to not be awkward.

Can't wait to see some of your info.

*** Please remember that some members are very passionate and vocal depending on what ride your on. Before getting on a ride, you should be mentally fit, emotionally stable and have a strong stomach for theories, conjecture, research and evidence presented that may be contrary to your own.
