Hi im a long time visitor here at ATS but a first time poster. Just wanted some input on some things.

So ever since about the age of 11 (im 16 now) ive had dreams and they would happen. Sometimes within days and sometimes within months. At first it was odd but then i got used to it. Then a few months ago i started to notice events repeating them self. For example i remember one evening (about a 4 hour time span) i sat around with my dad and brother having a good time. then about 2 weeks after that the exact same night repeated itself. I was in such shock that i missed school the next day because of it. this has happened multiple times since then and have even had nights that i spent with my best friend and we both remembered it happening before (He is the only other person to ever notice this happening). Just recently things have gotten even stranger. last monday my older brother and i were walking my dog just as we do most nights. the Wednesday following we took our dog for another walk. about halfway through the walk it suddenly hit me that all the events from the monday were repeating themself. Heres the strangest part: my brother and i reversed rolls. Monday i was holding the leash and was on the left side and my brother was on the right, and on friday it was the opposite. I also noticed that my shadow on the friday was the same shadow that my brother had on the monday, and the shadow that i had on the monday was the one that my brother had on friday.

Has anyone had the same experience or anything? this is really weird and im not sure what to make of it. Its hard too because sometimes im just not sure if i dreamt it before hand or if it actually happened. and if i did dream it then thats bad too because that means that i cant tell the difference between when im dreaming and when im awake.

*Edit: I should add then when i say that my brother and i reversed rolls, what i said and did on the monday, he said and did on the friday the exact same. (e.g. at points on the wlk when i had my fone out on the monday, my brother did on the friday.)

If you have lurked then you know there are kindred spirits here. I personally do not have any answers, but I can certainly see why you would seek some. Good luck on your quest, and Welcome to the best site on the net!

People have a strong tendency to form
patterns, schedules and rhythms. I
think that may be what is happening.

I,m 52 you sound like me at 16.
At your age I would dream about what they were going to serve at lunch at school. What time a friend would call me, another fiend of mine wrecking his car. Nothing profound just day to day stuff that would happen the next day week or so. Saying what my mom & dad was about to say because I had dreamed it the night before would freak them out sometimes (not so much my mom because she was a "dreamer" too.
As far as "repeating real life events, You probably are remembering dreams from nights ago where you were experiencing the real life event of the future. My dreams mainly pop up through out the day when the event is about to happen or just getting started. Sort of like seeing a rerun of what's about to happen in front of you (most of the time a little surrealistic and skewed but the important aspects there and vivid.)
As far as your friend saying he remembers it happening, never underestimate the power of suggestion

Your dreams will always be there for you, if your like me, So learn to take it as the gift it is and dont worry about it.
Also in the future find a mate who understands (like my wife) so that you can share you vivid dreams and she wont freak out.
Be careful who you share your abilities with though. People who dont understand or have malace will use your experiences against you.
Lastly......... RELAX! you have a special ability that other people can only dream (haha) or fantisize about.

Dream on!

PS one other thing you ability will mellowout a little as you get older. I noticed at about 22-24 for me. It will leave for a while then come back full force. My dreams have been pretty cool lately with the next day revealing the dream message in some interesting ways.

Welcome to ATS. I've had some dreams where it seemed I was dreaming of the future. I also have had lucid dreams and changed events in my dreams as well. Things seemed a bit different and strange today for me as well. Just minor things. Makes me wonder if I'm losing my mind or if I switched into a parallel dimension. If it stops at only two minor things, I will forget about it fast.
