Following the anti-Monsanto activism launched by nations like France and Hungary, Poland has announced that it will launch a complete ban on growing Monsanto’s genetically modified strain MON810. The announcement, made by Agriculture Minister Marek Sawicki, sets yet another international standard against Monsanto’s genetically modified creations. In addition to being linked to a plethora health ailments, Sawicki says that the pollen originating from this GM strain may actually be devastating the already dwindling bee population.

Nations are continually taking a stand against Monsanto, with nations like Hungary destroying 1000 acres of GM maize and India slamming Monsanto with ‘biopiracy‘ charges.

Monsanto is one of the companies recognized almost everywhere by freethinking men and woman as "evil." It stands along with names like "Goldman Sachs" in that way. So it is a great relief to see entire nations coming to there senses about this company, not just individuals anymore. Poland is very brave to do this, it seems like the most firm step against GM crops yet. And we can see Hungary, India, and France also taking steps against this poison.

Not only is it poison for people, but perhaps also bees, as noted above in the article.

I admit I am surprised at Poland here, in a good way. I did not expect states to stand against such a powerful name.

Maybe there is hope for the world. Now we need more countries to stand up. Wherever you are in the world, contact your state leaders in the appropriate way, if you can!

Meanwhile, no action will be taken in the USA, as Monsanto's bribery experts (oh, sorry, I mean "lobbyists") work on corrupt US politicians, which is NEARLY all of them.

To my knowledge, there is only ONE politician in all of Congress and The Senate who has never, ever, accepted anything from a lobbyist, and one whom lobbyists are told to "not even bother calling him", and this is Dr Ron Paul.

Someone on staff unfortunately moved your thread to old BTS/off topic forum, the second tab when loading recent posts.

This reduces visibility, not all users read that area.

SilentThundersGF's thread is good to maximize readership of both.

Great job, Poland! I hope they don't stop with just one strain of GMO. The fight isn't over, yet. Any and all GMO's need to be banned and if planted razed. In the U.S., there is ample evidence, even in the MSM, that farmers should be paying attention to what seeds and poisons they are buying. Is it greed, that causes American farmers to want to plant ecologically and biologically destroying Monsanto GMO seeds? Why do American farmers continue to use highly toxic pesticides/poisons? I was raised in farm country, and just as there is soldier-worship in the U.S., there is also farmer-worship. They can do no wrong, and are "proper" Americans. Maybe, someone else knows what I am talking about.

Farmers are treated like "conservatives," in that they are "salt-of-the-Earth" people or "regular" people. We know about the regulatory capture of the FDA, even the EPA, and because of that we cannot rely on our government to ban GMO's anytime soon. They make too much money! If you make money in America, you are legitimate and deserve to exist. If you want clean food and an untainted ecosystem, you are a dirty hippy, socialist, commie! lol I think it is time we protest the farmers who plant this crap. Perhaps, we should do as the French did and raze GMO crops to the ground. They must be burned by farmers, so their genes don't spread. I'm not asking people to burn farmers' crops, but farmers must be educated on the damage they are causing through using GMO's and any that support GMO's must be protested and their lives made hell by inconvenience, until they get it!
