Meth-For-Sex Sheriff gets a WHOPPING 30 days jail time...

30 days for Sullivan

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. – Avoiding potentially sordid testimony in a criminal trial, former Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick Sullivan pleaded guilty Tuesday to SEVERAL charges of trading methamphetamine for sex.

In arguing for the maximum sentence, three years in prison, prosecutors cited an interview with Sullivan immediately after his arrest in which the former sheriff allegedly told police he may have engaged in sex with underage individuals. Instead, after a brief hearing, the judge sentenced him to 38 days in jail, eight of which had already been served.

This is just despicable. If it was an average citizen, they'd be spending years in prison. But this
guy, a big time pedophile and meth user, is also big time law enforcement....gets 30 days.
Who knows how many lives this man has destroyed.

“I apologize to the court, this community and my family,” Sullivan said in a brief statement. “There is no excuse for my behavior. I accept the court’s decision and I just want to move forward with my life.”

I'm sure his victims would like to move forward with their lives also. Not so easy when your perp
get's off pracrtically scott free.

Tom Martino from KHOW received a video showing a young male, approximately 10 years old,
being raped by someone who looks to be Sullivan. Another young man showed up dead just
hours after Sullivan bailed him out of jail. This guy is a poster boy for corruption.

Incidentally, the guy that sold the sheriff meth got 3 years.

Corruption is alive and well in Colorado...

Sullivan served as the Arapahoe County Sheriff from 1984 until his retirement in 2002. He was named national “Sheriff of the Year” in 2001.

He also served as head of security for Cherry Creek Schools after his retirement.

The second sentence is comforting.

Abhorrent behavior is to be expected of humanity, less expected from officials designated (past or present) to positions of power. Disgusting but not unexpected. The main problem I think is as noted, the slap on the wrist of the sick individual. What message does that really send? had it been kept secret he probably would have gotten off scot free me thinks.

You are correct.

Sadly this has been proven to go all the way to the top over and over.

ETA... almost everyone who spoke out in this video is now dead under mysterious circumstances.
