Different dreams, Same man.

Hello ATS hopefully you guys can help me understand these dreams I've been having as a child so....(exhales) here we go.

Ever since I was around 7-8yrs old I've been having dreams about this.... I guess I'll call it a man. In my dreams the sky is always a sepia color and I'm always either standing on a dock or I'm in a field and in the distance there's always this thing watching and in some dreams he's holding my hand he looks like a man but I know he's not. It's always wearing a long brown trench coat and matching hat( I know it's weird) and he just stands there watching me. I've always felt safe around him but the weird thing is I know he's evil like a demon or something but I always felt safe because I knew people feared him and it made me feel invinsible.

Until last night. I was sitting in bed watching tv and I heard a loud boom and my room was filled with light. Then I could feel myself burning alive And started screaming. I blinked and everything was back to normal kind of. I was sitting on my bed but now the tv was off and I could feel something was in my room. I was so terrified I was shaking. I threw the covers over my head and made myself as small as possible. Right then I knew it was the thing from my dreams standing at the edge of my bed. I swear I could feel it just watching me. I felt as if I did something wrong because this is the firs time I've ever feared it. I stayed up all night under my blanket until morning when I felt safe.

My sister suggested we go to a psychic so I agreed I figured it couldn't hurt. Before we even reached the door we saw this woman outside the door she refused to let me in. If it matters or may help I'm agnostic. Is there anyone else that's had similar dreams?

That woman who refused to let you in did you and herself a favor. The burning you felt, was it like a blanket that covered your body?

Can't say I've had similar experiences, but this is your opportunity to achieve lucidity. Next time you see this "man" in your dreams, KNOW that it's a dream and look at your hands. Looking at one's hands can be a powerful trigger for achieving lucidity.

By taking control of the dream, you can find out what this thing is, and whether or not you should befriend it. Perhaps this "man" is your mind's way of personifying fear. In such a case, you will eventually learn how to conquer that fear and the "man" shouldn't bother you any more.

The burning was like.... A cigarette burning. I could literally see that burn line going across my body turning me into ash

Ty, I'll remember that when I dream of him again.

I have never had a dream about a man like yours....I dreamt once about my "spirit guide" (before I "fired" him)...trying to teach me about overcoming anger in this lifetime....

However...on SEVERAL occasions, I have been blocked from a psychic's door! Just recently, in fact, my HUSBAND was invited to visit a bruja....a "witch" or "healer with some Hispanic religion mixing Catholicism and voodoo? (Santeria perhaps?) Anyhow...she was all smiles and welcoming until she saw me...I didn't say a word and was smiling back at her....she blocked the door and kept saying' "no, no, no"

I don't consider myself evil in ANY way....maybe a bit loud and strange....but....

I also turn out street lights when I walk by...no kidding....

Wow, I've never turned off streetlights! But when I meet people( in person) they tell me that I intimidate them.

Also I've always been around death since I was young. Every one I've come close to has passed. ( mother, grandparents, friend, 2 aunts, and uncle) all passed while I was in their care( except the friend of course). I'm 28 now with no "immediate" family. I never thought of myself as an omen or anything like that but since I've had that dream last night it makes me second guess my thoughts.

Sounds like its your spirit guide, he may be stopping you going past a certain point as you dream. Read my story to get what I mean.The fear is just a feeling nothing more.

I experimented with the most powerful hallucinogen know to man, right before I went in I did a little meditation saying I am ready for anything I want the biggest experience I can handle anything...boy did I regret it.


Shut my eyes and opened them quick the room was blood red, I said to my sitter quick get me out and before I sat upright I froze half way and was in another dimension, It felt like a 1000 years time didn't work the same where I was then all of sudden I start coming back hearing my sitters voice. I was in shock having completely forgotten my earth existence...I will never forget that feeling. As I was coming back (from a place you cannot even fathom) I had the most terrifying feeling my skin vibrated so hard it felt as if it was ripping then all over my spine I had shooting electric pains serging up into my brain the down my forehead in to my eyes my jaw felt as if it crumbled in on its self. Along with the most overwhelming indescribable feeling of impending doom. I don't believe you can be more afraid that I was I didn't sleep for five days, when I closed my eyes I seen horrible things in full 3d just like with my eyes opened. When I final did sleep I would commit suicide in my dream over and over and not die, on three different occasion I awoke with screaming in my head then someone called my name then screaming again. There is a path way you walk down just before you dream and its purpose it to make you forget, you go down the same path every night then the fun starts...I traveled this path fully conscious. When I close my eyes now and focus I can see the path but I don't do it purposely as I don't want to open that door again whist awake.

If your dreams start spilling over its because you are willingly opening your chakras (witch are like firewalls) you open one too many though an I promise you will get messed up, no other way too say it.

AAAnyway the most important thing I learned other than I have a soul group and currently live in other dimensions is that fear is only a feeling of this body. I was frozen stiff with fear for no reason, all the while I am thinking what the f nothing bad is happening but I cannot turn off the fear. Your soul is not afraid your body is to protect it self you are connected like a hologram...when you realize your soul is only a guest in this body you learn to compromise and thrive.

The feeling of fear is normal, facing the unknown can do that in a person. When "evil" approaches, it does so in a way that would comfort and appeal, in order to acquire control and alter perception, giving you the omnipotent sensation which permits the manipulation. You mentioned that others feared him, how did you come to that conclusion, was there something in these dreams that gave you this impression, or was it just the feeling you had when with him???
As for the psychic not doing a reading, I have heard and observed this before, but I would not make any presumption based on just this one incident, try again, go to a different mystic and see if you get the same response. Based on the outcome, you can better discern what you are dealing with.
Just wanted to add, I always associate bright light with something divine and pure, the darker forces look to extinguish the light, not radiate it.

Very interesting, thank you for sharing. I really would like to hear more from you about whatever else may be relevant to the dream state or your past experiences. If not then that's fine as well. For the most part, or so far as I know consciously, I like dreaming, though I tend to have something like recurring dreams and those usually are just strange and lucid.

Hell with a psychic, go to a priest...

When I thought about what you said about how you burned, this saying came to my mind: A little leaven leavens the whole lump. To me it makes sense to me because changes, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, are still changes, and with any change there is a cause and effect relationship. I'm not too sure what my point is but hopefully it'll mean something to you.

Wow.. it's funny you say this.. every time I go somewhere at night there is a street light that turns off along the way. I have wondered if anyone else experienced something similar.

As for the dream.. I want to say the man could be one of your guardians. Even if you feel a malice aura, it doesn't mean he hasn't chose not to protect you. Personally, I feel that the dream world is the "spirit world" simply speaking. Usually you would feel safe around your guardian but not feel.. fear.

If anything, pray about it. You don't have to believe in a particular god to pray. You can pray to any entity you like. Prayer is a form of meditation that allows contact with entities, by giving up "spiritual energy" as a "price" depending on the entity, what you ask for, and how much "spiritual energy" you give, you may be able to get what you ask for; answers, materialist, etc.. Spiritual energy is naturally restored so it's not "soul damning" or anything. It's a little esoteric and may be of out the loop of what people may think prayer is but that is only because the art of prayer is lost and has been twisted. As proof of this in religions around the world.. They all pray.. but to different entities. They may, or may not know they are giving spiritual energy, but it's fine, they don't have to know.

or.. you could try to hack your dream and ask him things the next time you see him. Look up "lucid dreaming" maybe even "astral projection" if your really interested. These are pretty sure-fire ways but take practice.

I have been experiencing the street light situation for years.
I did a little research on it , but I really do not agree with what is said about it.

I don't think it is negative, but more divine then anything.
