A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn

There is also A People's History of American Empire which covers quite a few of the same things in the above title but in a graphic novel format.

Another book which is good is called Overthrow: America's Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to Iraq

I would recommend David Wilcock's Financial Tyranny E-book as far as a nice overview of the history behind the takeover of the world banking system and much more. He stays away from his usual alien slant as well, so I feel it is worthy of sharing. David links to all the articles/studies that he pulls from and provides proper scholarship on his articles.

I know some will disagree, but I find his journalism to be complete and well done. I have also had good success in showing this article to others in my life who are starting to wake up. There is a LOT of very convincing information within, imo.

She actually asked me about that one. That seems very leftist and anti-American at first glance, though I have not read the whole thing yet. Am I wrong about it?

Since your friend seems to be quite intelligent then you should suggest she gets a copy of law dictionaries. Then look into U.S. Constitution, this also has "Articles of Confederation". If she really reads and compares the 2 she will see that the Constitution did nothing more than take some States rights.

There is a good book and highly recommended and lays all right out in the open. This book explains exactly how and when all US Citizens became slaves voluntarily. The Red Amendment will really explain it and more as it will show you that we can become free lawfully.

Been Deprogrammed? The video gives a good outline on the book and is eye wakening in itself. This is why I mentioned a law dictionary in particular from the same period they were written.

These are all works that I have read and that I believe present a fairly balanced view of history. I plan to introduce more "esoteric" works as she gets a handle on history in general. She never really liked history when she was in school and took only required courses.

She is not ready for this place yet. IMO, bringing her here now would undo everything I have done so far. I am particularly concerned over the number of avowed socialists here.

I likely will read it, maybe tomorrow, but I am an avowed Libertarian. Leftist dogma is antithetical to me. I believe in the importance of the individual over the supremacy of the group.

Rep. Alan Grayson asks the Federal Reserve Inspector General about the trillions of dollars lent or spent by the Federal Reserve and where it went, and the trillions of off balance sheet obligations. Inspector General Elizabeth Coleman responds that the IG does not know and is not tracking where this money is.

I would recommend Zeitgeist Addendum since it doesn't have the 9/11 thing in it and it doesn't bash on religion too much.

I have a film recommendation! In fact, a trilogy! And I know the storylines are fiction, but a lot of the resources that are used within the storyline are actually true! (not allowed to say why) and it certainly opens your eyes to what governments are actually fully capable of!

I'd say each Zeitgeist film gets better by each movie, I don't like the first Zeitgeist movie either but it didn't stop me from watching the second one or the third one, With all information I read/watch I keep what resonates with me, Even if it changes my whole point of view on life, Thinking there is only one correct "way" is programmed behavior from my point of view. I understand that your friend might "lock their brain" when seeing/hearing something that challenge their belief and they won't understand the information because they are still hooked on that one thing so they throw everything else in the bin... Think it's programmed behavior to stop you from reaching a higher understanding of things. Maybe

I didn't like the anti-religion part of zeitgeist either, though I am not religious. I found god through meditation, and got "visited" by jesus once...

The second 2 zeitgeist movies are much better. Really good movies..

Just get her to watch until the 4:40 mark which is where the Movie title comes in. The part before it is pretty heavy. It's sort of a teaser at the begining with quotes from Woodrow Wilson lamenting destroying the country,
