The videos are pretty bad, the last especially. Some good photos would have been useful as well.

From what I see though I will point to the sturgeon.

And what do you know.
I found the article and it is a sturgeon.

If you have ever seen a Sturgeon up close and personal, they are one UGLY fish.

And that's one of them.

Sturgeon....

But i love how the report and the videos only did ONE angle on this guy.....

The other video was just done in psychadelic colors.....

If this is what passes for investigation no wonder people will believe anything

I agree. I can handle video to a point. However, I would rather read an article (like the ones in my post above) and see some more pics. Sadly though even in the links I provided above do not give mroe than the one photo

Oh well so much for good reporter skills, I guess those are a thing of the past.

still looks like a monster

if its not that giant fish (tho seems likely) maybe it has to do with all that oil in the gulf

i heard there was a bacteria that evolved to eat oil from that spill

I checked on my mother-in-law, it's not her. I was concerned.

He's defiantly a sturgeon. Harmless fish that is docile, though they look rather intimidating. They are a prehistoric era fish, which gives them that monstrous look. We have smaller species of sturgeon in the northern parts of the state. Nothing close to the ocean breeds of sturgeons size. To some they are ugly, to other fascinating and beautiful in their own way.

Dude that second video is awfull.

WTH why would you go and add all those useless effects to thge video since it makes it unwatchable.

How pathetic.

And by you I meant the maker of the video and not the poster.

I had an up-too-close personal experience with a very large sturgeon. My Father-in-law caught it, two passing by fishermen shot it three times with a 22. We hauled it into the boat - it was longer than the boat. Three feet of tail hung out the back end of a regular sized row boat. I had to stand up with this fish in between my legs. It's head was about 2 & a half feet wide. It wasn't dead - it kept wiggling now and then. It had barbed with a hook scales in a row down its spine and sides. The scales were as large as a salad plate. I feared for my manhood. The difference was the one I will never forget was silvery gray like most fish - the underwater color photo is very close to an exact match. I had heard fish tales about how ocean sturgeon can get massive 30 feet or more!
Their meat turns red after 7 feet and is good smoked but not very tasty fried.

Dress it up with pointless video effects as in the second one with no actual clear view and anything can be made to look like Alien's (Sigourney Weaver's friend) ugly sister. It's unbelievable what crap people churn out just to earn Youtube advertising revenue
