Poland's prime minister indirectly confirmed his country's former spy chief is facing criminal charges in connection with a probe by state prosecutors into an alleged Polish role in the operation of a U.S. Central Intelligence Agency secret prison for suspected terrorists.
The case is "painful but concrete evidence that Poland won't be a country anymore where politicians, even if they do it with the world's largest superpower, can do a deal under the table and it won't be exposed," said Mr. Tusk, in unusually expansive remarks on a typically taboo subject. European investigators, lawyers for detainees and former U.S. officials say the U.S. operated sites around the world where suspected terrorists were interrogated using waterboarding and other harsh techniques.
The U.S. has acknowledged that the CIA's secret detention program existed but has declined to provide details about where it operated and what happened at specific detention sites. The CIA declined to comment Thursday. Polish prosecutors have been looking into whether Polish authorities, under a previous administration, abused their power by allowing the CIA to run a covert prison in northern Poland in 2002 and 2003.
Polish air traffic control has officially confirmed CIA airplanes did land in their territory in 2003. The admission comes amid reports that Poland also hosted a secret U.S. prison, although that's been denied by the country's leaders. There's about 28 countries or so that had or were rumored to have CIA black prisons.
They also used some naval vessels as well.

Scary, and also makes me want to vomit.
Also they can get around torture by getting agents or contractors from those country's to do the dirty work and just sit back.
Just like MI6 did:
