Jamphel Yeshi, 27, set himself on fire on Monday at a demonstration in New Delhi.
He ran screaming past other protesters and the news media before falling to the ground, his skin and clothing burned. He was taken to a hospital, but was unable to overcome his injuries.
About 30 people have set themselves on fire over the past year in ethnic Tibetan areas of China in protest against Beijing's heavy-handed rule in the region. They say the crackdown in Tibetan areas is so oppressive that there is no other way for Tibetan people to voice their protest.

There are better ways than this though. Setting themselves on fire is not the answer. It is sad that they feel they have no alternatives left and have go to these extremes. China just doesn't give a hoot and never has, not sure how you go about changing that?
The OP seems to take it as a matter of fact that Tibet is simply part of China - which is debatable to nationalists.
you sure about that? Afterall, you are talking about it. I am talking about it on the opposite side of the planet.

This is ridicules... The only time it made a statement was the first time it was done decades ago. Is it supposed to bring attention? Well its not, they need to come up with a original way to protest.
