I'm wondering if its illegal to follow a police officers car? Perhaps those out of work could be mobilized into following and recording the police as close to 24/7 as they can (without trespassing, speeding etc. zoom lenses for safety of course). Obviously it would involve a massive movement. But maybe it would clean out some of the bad eggs? Citizen Detective Capturers, or CDC... hmmm disease control....

If I might add a personal note on this idea...as I've suggested it myself as a way to really protest a specific cop without breaking laws....it's not something to do lightly.

I've mentioned here before that I grew up in a law enforcement household and one of my childhood memories is of my mother picking the wrong cop car to follow one night in an effort to surprise my dad at work and say Hi. She had no idea his unit number had changed from what she'd thought it was, but it didn't take long before half the department (it seemed) was following HER, following him. Cops get real real touchy and they're very likely to notice you after about the 3rd turn they make and you're still there.

I'm not aware of any laws..and there definitely weren't back then but it will bring a serious face to face with the cops. No question. As long as someone is good with that as a fact of what will happen........
