Bee Crisis

I want to begin a thread on the subject of the bee crisis. It is a crisis not covered in the mainstream media, or in most of the alternative media. What is going on here?

I want to leave this mostly blank because it is a subject that I know little about, save that there seem to be multiple causes. A parasite, a fungus, and maybe just possible electro-magnetic interference due to cellphones or something like that. Why are all of these forces converging now?

By the way, I have seen the bee going in circles. It is a scary sight. We are living in frightening times and if we have a fruitless harvest then we are in big trouble as a planet.

If benevolent extraterrestrials are out there, ready to help us, then now is the time. I fear that we are probably on our own, but I can hold out hope.

By the way, as an aside, I know that secret societies often look to the bee as a symbol. Some say that the bee hive contains certain mathematical ratio's connected to the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci series (unsure). Either way, bees are the Creator's way of allowing us to be free of GMO's and to live on the land. Without them, we are in really deep trouble.

A very serious issue for the world, and you are right about the MSM not giving it enough attention. For the most part CCD has the greatest effect on the mobile bee keepers that ferry their bees from crop to crop for polinization jobs.

CCD is thought to be the symptom of pesticide coated seeds used to plant crops that the bees are pollinating. The compounding effects of these pesticides have not been investigated by the EPA in the USA, (and in the opinion of the bee keepers which I believe to be correct) is the primary cause of CCD.

France is one country that has taken steps to eliminate these pesticides from their crops, and has positive results. I thInk the US and other countries need to follow in Frances footsteps and avoid a catistrophic crop failure.

Benevolent ET's won't help us yet. If hard times come, it will help us mature. If you help a butterfly get out of its pupa shell, it will not be able to fly and die.

These days I've been falling asleep hungry, I've gone for days without food and still doing all my normal routines. We can make it, we don't have to kill each other to survive.

Maybe ETs would help if we can retain our humanity, be able to the welfare of others above our own, and aim for the best even in extremely desperate situations.

I found them!!!! there all in my garden.

I never seen so many bee's as I have over this last week. hundreds of honey beans and the bigest fattest bumble bees I have ever seen.

I live in Quebec Canada and last summer, we had swarms of wasps....no hive to be found on my property (I even checked for holes in the ground). It was so bad that my kids could barely go outside as there were hundreds of them!!!

And now this year, there are quite a lot already and the season has just begun. Ive never seen so many and it's really annoying. Time to search for the hive again!!

So, as I am aware theese are not bees, I have read & heard about the bee issue all over the world (pretty much). If they sould keep reducing in numbers, what will come of our vegetation???

Don't they play a major role in polinization? worrying!!

I'm a newbie Beek and just posted in a GMO thread here on ATS. I was looking for sources of Russian queens and came across this apiary. They had a large portion of their beeyard wiped out and attribute it to the presence of a large acreage of GMO crops in the vicinity. I've never 'bought' the idea that cell towers were to blame. Bees navigate mostly by sight. Their eyes can interpret the changing colors of the sunlight and shadows to determine direction. When they do their navigational flights they fly increasing concentric circles to 'learn' their neighborhood an usualy forage within 1.5 to 3mi from the hive. Workers in the hive fan a unique identifying phermone into the air to act as a beacon.

Then I wouldsay that they know my back yard perfectly well and they can now sart to familiarize themselves somewhere else.

I find them to be fascinating creatures with a very important role to play but I prefer watching them on TV or from afar.

I am very pleased that I can see many bees in my backyard. I have orange blossoms, azaleas, and blueberry bushes blooming. It is nice to see the bees and think I am helping them to survive. No pesticides in my garden or yard!

The bees are back early in my area. I noticed many insane ones a few years ago but they all seem sane now. I guess it was a fungus or a virus or some other natural or unnatural factor that caused them to decline.

As for benevolent ET's, well, I don't count on anything I cannot predict according to a model. But, a guy can always hope, right?
