Can you cite for me a single nation in the industrialised world that does what you suggest and does it successfully?

I mean, I understand what you are saying.
We've been hearing it for decades from the Libertarian-right...

...but the last time we tried that was in the Roaring-20s...that didn't end up so good....
...the time before that created the Gilded Age....I don't think any of us want to repeat THAT era...

Without America buying everything "Made in China" the Chinese economy will collapse. They need us. They can rattle their swords all they want but without the U.S. and it's need to consume they will not have an economy.

They need us to build thier war machine. They need us to buy up our property. I honestly believe that if they own enough of our debt that they could easily request a coalition to back them up internationally and they could come in and make thier own rules. But it would be a lot easier to just kill us slowly while we build them up. I dunno. Seems logical to me.
