And for some reason no one will discuss Africa with me. Always an excuse from everyone as to why the black, Africans have not progressed any further than they have unless integrated into other racial or ethnic societies. The land was raped of resources, ok ok I get that. Why have the Africans been oppressed for so long? Why did they not fight back and if they did and lost over and over from lack of technology, guns etc then why did they not have that technology? Other races did. It's not as if they are pacifist, they prove that every time they decide to hack each other to death with machetes. According to one post on here blacks were the first people on Earth. So they got a head start and are still miles behind in every facet of progression.

In America how often do you see new black neighborhoods? Blacks move into nice, clean, existing neighborhoods, run the other ethnic or racial groups out with fear of crime and then they destroy that nice neighborhood and then call it the "HOOD". If you live in the "HOOD" its you own d@mn fault you tore it up....white people didn't do it.

I work in marketing to retail stores. In one area of my district a McDonalds, Burger King and a Walgreens drug store all shut down within a year because the area became the "HOOD". They didn't close because blacks were there they closed because of theft and robbery. Then the blacks complain because all business leave the area but to them it's because they're black not because the places got robbed twice a week and were losing money.

I have Hispanic and Asian friends and they feel the same way I do. If blacks want to stop being treated as second class citizens in this world then they need to be self sufficient like everyone else. The black leaders that do arise only re-enforce the same old excuses instead telling it like it is.

MLK said judge a man by his character not by the color of his skin. Judge the black race by their overall character and tell me what you see. I'm sure someone will say we are all people and we are all the same....well guess what apparently we're not.

you are reinforcing negative stereotypes, and it doesent sound like you have anything positive to say about our fellow (black)humans. i'm sorry you feel that way about black people and i'm sure that not every black person you have met has been a bad person. just as every hispanic or white or asian etc etc. i know what you are saying is fact in your own mind and you can make a decent argument in your favor but i'm not gonna come back with a rebuttal, lets not try and stir the pot and continue this racial divide, i would rather try and get along w all races and creeds. and see the positive things/differences/ along with what we all might have in common in all the different cultures on earth.

Dang Homey!, why you hatin on my thread? Have you read the links in the OP?, have you read all of my well reasoned posts within this thread? Do you have an answer as to why, when 18 grown men raped an 11 year old girl, videoed it and apparently distributed the video, their community rallied in support of them? Why did a black revolutionary leader come to their aid? What does gang raping an 11 year old girl have to do with the "struggle". Why shoud we cry for Trayvon when no one's crying for this little girl?

i know of that tragedy in fact i thought it was an outrage a year ago when i first read about it, but you straight up race baited this thread and got 4 pages worth of racists to come and post on here by the way you worded the title, i bet you half of these people didnt even read the links you posted. sneaky.

I immediately made it very clear, within the first page, what the intent of this thread was. I also made it very clear that I was uninterested in a bunch of posts about the "genetic inferiority" of other races. This thread was to be about the comparison of media coverage in the two cases mentioned in the OP and the hypocrisy of any people that may have supported the rapists in the one case and now are marching in support of justice for Trayvon. But just a quick question. Do you think that a racist has a right to his opinion?

i dont know enough about the "dirty shops" and what not but he does have a point, african americans do need to step it up if they want to have nicer neighborhoods, less violence, less unemployment etc etc

its too bad he made his statement the way he did but it is no secret that in a lot of poor black neighborhoods the majority of the businesses are run by asians, i.e koreans, arabs etc etc..if they want to change that then they have to step it up and take responsibility. isnt that what some of you guys are arguing for?

you know as well as i do all those giveaways dont work. Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. i dont want to be the one to say what african americans need or dont need but i think they should start with working, and both parents raising their children. the vicious cycle in my opinion lies in the lack of both biological parents raising their children.

Come on man, his comments are indefensible and would be career ending if a white politician said them about blacks for any reason. "We gotta do something about these blacks in the NBA, those oughta be white players." Why should my thread be shut down again?

and if there was a outcry by white people that there is not enough white people in the nba than i say they should try harder and compete to gain those spots. take away the fact that he said the asians got to go, i dont agree with that part of what he said, but definitely if your gonna complain about something then do something about it.

The last 5 strong arm robberies that occurred in my area were commited by Black people on White and Latino ran businesses/stores. The overall stat's on black people commiting robbery on whites/latino's is off the chart. A lot of jails/prisons have a majority of African American inmates.

The evil media is made up of blacks, whites, latinos, asains, etc. The media isnt all white people. Zimmerman wasnt even white, his skin just wasnt black. It's as if African Americans are looking for any reason to hate white people.

Once the world stops hating each other, then we can move on to hating the people that made us this way.

i also underestimated the amount of people on ats with such polorized views on race. i truly am sorry you feel that way about african americans, but you know what there is bad in all races, i believe the economy has everyone so stressed out we are at eachothers throats, last year it was illegals this year its blacks. maybe we should all step back for a second and try to get along.

You know man if you read through this thread post by post, not that you will, I wouldn't. I think you'll find that I say very little bad stuff about African Americans in general, besides for that community in Cleveland Texas. I was very specific about what I wanted to discuss on here. African American political agendas, media coverage, specific cases. I can't help it that when the issue of race is brought up it brings a strong response out of people.

Are you saying that everyone who had something negative to say about blacks on this thread is just a damn racist so their opinion doesn't matter? That is an over simplified position that prevents any real discussion or criticism of blacks in America. If it is completely off limits to issue any critiques of blacks(cause if you do you're a racist) then how exactly can we ever discuss anything of import? I think that people like yourself need to quit throwing that word around so recklessly and actually consider what you're saying.

What if a white person in the US has had nothing but negative experiences with blacks? Are they justified in having a negative opinion of them? Why not? Why are whites in this country not permitted to have an opinion of black America? What exactly is it that we don't understand? We don't have enough rhythm, we can't dance, what is it that is so hallowed and mysterious that we just don't get?

I think whites and blacks in this country should lay off the word "racist" for a while and try to figure out why we don't like each other. Because they certainly don't always treat us great and we are no better. The difference is that they have this powerful weapon, the ability to simply call us a racist, it ends all discussion and puts us on the defensive. You should stop over simplifying the problem.

I have asked you some specific questions in an effort to understand your views better. You have answered by saying in essence,

What is your position? Whites cannot have an opinion on anything to do with the black community? Clarify your views.

Here is a article that has not got much attention. And it does show the attack on blacks that is happening. But this article shows its on the black leaders who bring forward black rights. Its targeting people like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton who are outspoken and a lot of time are over the line with what they do.

In yet another blow to the FBI, a federal judge has set new deadlines for the agency to produce the confidential informant file of the late Memphis photographer Ernest Withers.

U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson on Thursday rejected an FBI motion asking for more time to decide if it will appeal a January order requiring production of Withers’ file.

The Justice Department wanted until at least June 4 to consult with the Solicitor General to decide whether to appeal. Rejecting that request, Jackson gave the FBI until May 5 to produce an index of Withers’ file or a proposed schedule for producing records in the file. She also gave the FBI until May 15 to produce “either the first wave of responsive records or at least a partial index.’’

Some one is really pushing to get the FBI files out on black leaders. It could be a gold mine for the people who would want to target and get dirt on black leaders.
