Six foot metal fragment fell near remote village in Siberia
Does not appear to be from earthly missiles or rockets

Space experts are trying to solve the mystery of ‘a UFO fragment’ which crashed close to a village in Siberia. Locals insist the metallic object – which resembles a large rubbish bin – fell from the skies but initial checks by experts have concluded it is neither from a rocket nor a missile.

Pretty interesting! Only a matter of time before RFSA or NASA claim the piece to be there own, but I will most certainly keep on top of this, but I'd like to see an original picture/blue-print of the satellite if it did come from one. If that isn't a heat-sheild on the front, then i'm surprise it survived re-entry.

Looks like a spot light.
Perhaps attached to a resonant cavity.
Yeah thats what it is 100%.
Some kind of laser.

it begars belief that people claim its " unidentified " - googling the tail reveals more pics that clearly show ` off the shelf ` components

i would guess at a top section of a grain silo or chemical / fuel tank / hopper

and identify the structure inside the thing as a vent / pressure relief
