Way to go! Just think of all of the attacks we have thwarted so far by going through this procedure!

I can't honestly think of a more proud moment to be an American. It brings a tear to my eye and makes me remember all of those people who have died fighting for our freedom.

I honestly don't know why everyone makes such a big deal out of TSA.

When you have a policy that calls for RANDOM searches, they will be RANDOM. Which means sometimes old people and cute little snot-nose kids might get searched as well. Yeah, no one really thinks a 3 year old is strapped up with a bomb. But what one believes isn't really the point of security, is it?

It's interesting to consider the catalyst that was responsible for all this "security" to begin with and who are we really protecting ourselves from.

Furthermore it has been proven numerous times how these security measures are not fool proof. Random scans aren't 100% effective, and it has been proven that the porn scanners can be circumvented:

YAY, I'm 12% more secure from terrorists... who.... wait a second.... you mean terrorists didn't commit the 911 attacks?

So because something isn't fool proof means....what, we should just stop any security measures altogether, right?

The only thing we as Americans enjoy more than our freedoms is our air of superiority when we point out what inconveniences us in the name of our own good.

In other words, we're spoiled.

THANK YOU! Random is random. It's not like they are intentionally messing with little old ladies and wheelchair bound children. Hell they should search EVERYONE with a wheelchair. It is not inconceivable that some crazy ass parents would hide a zip gun or two somewhere in the chair. Highly unlikely but not impossible. I have talked to the few people I know that travel regularly and they don't really mind the extra security. It may not be 100% effective, but there needs to be something, if only to keep the honest, well, honest. Security cameras in stores aren't that effective either but when people feel they are being watched it keeps the opportunistic from stealing.

The other thing I find so irksome is when people paint all TSA workers as sexual deviants. It's a solid job with decent pay. Sure there may be a few pervs here and there, but you'll find that in every profession.

If anything we should celebrate that such a wide swathe (swathe? yeah I'm going with swathe my Google broke) of people are searched. Better that than ignoring entire groups that could easily be nutters or blackmailed/bribed/brainwashed into committing atrocities.

ETA: I think that someone gets pissed, it then becomes popular to be pissed about something, and all of a sudden you have a huge group of followers/morons that profess the same beliefs in order to win some weird popularity contest. In no way am I accusing the OP of this, I have much respect for this member.

It is not " In my own good " to trade in my personal space for your false sense of security. Im sorry if you feel safer after watching everyone being scaned, pattied, and radiated. Wanna feel safe and in control, Drive yourself there.

This is all based on a event that was scripted by people other than the ones we blamed. Lets look at the last two real Al-qaida attacks. One was a guy who managed to set his privates on fire. The other one was a man who took a truck of gas, fireworks, and propane bottles, and still could not manage to set it off. Not to mentionj parking some where that allowed his picture to be taken 1000 times.

You had better wake up and see who the real terrorist are. Those who give up liberty for safety deserve neither.

yes that child is about the size of mini me in the austin powers movie
look at the damage he did in that movei ..
he ALMOST BEAT UP AUSTIN POWERS!

lets face it the TSA has yet to catch a real terrorist
how can they?
Like with 911, and the underwear bomber
the US government will just LET THE TERRORISTS IN or PUT THE TERRORIST ON THE PLANE

search everyone!!!???
PAPERS PULEASE MIEN HERR!!!
my god
that is why the world calls the US the great SATAN

or as Ben Franklin put it
"Those who would give up Essential Liberty
to purchase a little Temporary Safety,
deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
He was a smart dude I'd take his advice and beware ANYONE trying to tell you different

This is what comes from those whose sense of entitlement is wildly out of proportion with their sense of humility.

You can tell a lot about how easy a person has it by what they choose to complain about.
